Asking on behalf. My cousin gave birth on 14th July to a baby boy. Her baby boy jaundice level is over 200. Went for phototherapy, but shortly after discharged, went up again. Baby is breastfed. Any advises to offer that can help? Thank u.

Quite common especially if baby's blood group is different from mother. Have to monitor and check on his liver just to ensure nothing goes wrong. During this period, try to avoid or rather cut down on ginger intake. Old wives tale is to get some herbs to bath the baby and put it underneath his pillow. Well, i did this too.

My baby has a thick layers of flakes on his skull. Is it because of the shampoo that has cause this problem?Currently I use kodomo bath and shampoo that is given in the hospital package. Should I change the shampoo to those not so harsh for baby?

Should be cradle cap. Apply olive oil 30 mins before bathing baby.

My baby just took Rota virus vaccine just now. Dr asked to feed baby with formula. Dr said before the vaccine also recommended take fm. But my son last time another Dr didn't mention. Do I need to follow instruction to stop bf? Some research claims that bf have the antibody to diminish the live things in the vaccination. Anyone can advice?

My friends who were breastfeeding continued without making any changes. Their doctors did not advise them to delay or change to formula. Just sharing their experiences.

My baby girl is 6 weeks old. she has learnt to lift and turn her head during tummy time on week 5 and is now trying to lift herself up (of course she's unable to do so) and move like a lil turtle. I'm not sure if I should encourage this (she's still so young) or should I stop tummy time for the time being?

It's ok to continue tummy time so long as there is always people with her. As she just learn to lift her head, just b very careful. Keep yr eyes on her.

I brought my girl when she is 12months old. Sand play promotes fine motor skills.

Do your kid got hfmd twice in 2 months?

Oh dear, that would be really heartaching for any parent. But I guess it is possible since there are different strains of HFMD virus. Do not know of anyone whose little ones have been through HFMD twice within such a short time frame. Think it is really important to practice good personal hygiene and be socially responsible to minimize the chances of such cases happening to any child.
