Just had a newborn, when will his eyes open?

Usually it will be shortly after birth. Some may just open their eyes momentarily before closing and going back to sleep. None of my friends could recall exactly how long it took. But one was saying that the moment her baby opened her eyes, all the visitors in the room would get very excited.

Congrats mummy. Depends on individual mummy. Some open their eyes for a while and will open again on and off for split seconds. U can try disturbing him/her so that he/she might take a peep at u even with 1 side.

Mine opened and looked around only on the next day. Before that was just slight opening and closing
