Does anyone here have experience with washable nursing pads? How are they compared to disposable ones? First time mom here :)

i used the avent washable ones and they lasted. it's definitely more cost effective compared to the disposable ones. no complains on it.

I had a small glass of red wine for dinner last night and went on to nurse my 4-month old. today I noticed that her poop is yellow seedy (normal since she's fully breastfed) but with many traces of black "fiber". should I be concerned? baby doesn't seem unwell though.

One small glass of wine is fine! Don't worry.

any mommies bring s1 to work? what bag do you use? :)

I used an S1 at work before but I didn't bring it to and fro - I left it in my office drawer. It's a small company so there's no risk of it being stolen. I also DL before and after work so I didn't need the pump. I just used a canvas eco-bag to bring it to work. It also fits in the Anello bag.

How will I cheer up my sister who already started mix feeding her 9mon old boy because she decided to only latch him at night time and use feeding bottle during daytime. Poor sister cries during latch as baby bites her and leave a super ouchy wound she can't stand it. :(

Hi! try suggesting on wearing nipple shields. These totally helps with the biting problem. :)

im heading back to work soon..i would like to know how many ice packs is sufficient to safely transport chilled ebm back home? my travelling time only max below 1 hour from fridge to fridge...i got the daiso ice packs and container type. how do i know the temperature is optimum? for cooler bag, is the daiso kind sufficient if i put ice block and ice packs? do i need to wrap the ice packs around each individual bottles? thanks in advance!

for me, as long as the milk is still cold after reaching home.. i will keep it inside fridge for next day use..

Hi, my bb is 7 days old. Fully latch on demand. He tend to be more cranky at night, any advice should I start giving him pacifier? Will it cause nipple confusion?

For me, I just simply nurse baby to sleep and he actually sleeps longer and seemed to be a happier baby. Bonding with the baby is definitely increased and it is very important. Pacifier is usually introduced when mummy can't take it anymore. I didn't give it to my lo under he was abt 7.5 mths and best thing, he rejects it.

Hi! It's the first time I have encountered this but I put 2 packets of BM into the freezer. The next day I went to check n 1 packet was as usual frozen but the other wasn't! It's like very cold but not in ice form. Please advice why? THX!

it could be because of excess lipasse, it is suggested that you scald the milk first and then freeze it :)

My LO latches well initially taking a good amount of areola in mouth and after a few mins removes to keep half of the tissue i inserted in his mouth. And My nipple pains after the feeding is over. What to do? Is he latching well? How do I correct the latch then?

Once baby shifts and the latch is no longer perfect, do not let him continue nursing. Unlatch him and relatch again properly. May have to do this a few times before he gets the message.
