Breastfeeding
How do u handle a 3mo to latch? I am doing the cradle position but unlike when my LO is newborn, he now has longer and stronger arms which can push himself away from me when I tried to bf ? Any suggestions? TIA!
Breastfeeding mummies
Any mummies doing mixed feeding would like to share their experience if they are still able to breastfeed till LO is 1 yo by using bottle teats which are say for 6 months and above? As I understand that if I use bottle teats which are faster flow (increase with age), LO might not want to be breastfed anymore as the flow is slower. My LO used to be breastfed but now bottle feeding and I tried to breastfeed back but he doesn't want due to bottle having faster flow..as he is growing, I wondered if I should change to a faster flow teat (now still using 0m+) and still able to breastfeed him? Would like to try bf him back but mixed feeding. TIA!
Hi mummies, just want to seek advice for breastfeeding. I have been bf my LO for 1st 2 weeks since newborn, den next 2 weeks mixed feedings. From 2nd month onwards, he is bottle fed only. Just tried to bf my LO back however he cry murder (but he is already crying due to hunger). Tried to make him latch but he kept crying. Any mummies who tried to latch LO back after so long of bottle feeding would like to share their success experience and any tips for reintroducing bf? Thanks!
Pumping milk at work
My LO is currently 3mo. I will be returning work once circuit breaker had ended, and she will be entering infant care. Previously, I had no intentions of pumping at work. However, as my LO prefers breast milk over formula (my supply is not much and had to supplement with formula milk), I am thinking of pumping at work. I'm thinking will it inconvenient to pump at work or will it be okay? I work in a childcare but different branch from my LO infant care.
ovulating & BF
10wks in postpartum and my menses seems to be back with slight blood but my nipple is very sore during breastfeeding. Any moms out there has good remedy? The sore nipple Is lowering my output
Hi Mummies.. I am latching my 3 months old lo on demand and pump after every session to keep my supply. However I realize that I still get about 80-100mls when I pump after each nursing session. I am a low to average supply mum so it makes me wonder if my lo is getting enough milk during breastfeeding or is she just sucking but not drinking. She can latch for more than 45 mins each session. So far, diaper output is very good. But weight gain is not very good. How else to tell if baby getting enough milk.. Please advise.. TIA ?
Hi mummies. Do you take any multivitamins or calcium supplements while breastfeeding? Can share what brand you taking?
Can I top up with FM first then fridge it?
Hi mummies, my MIL assist me with night feeds but she finds preping and topping up with FM a struggle during the wee hours. I thought of topping up with FM to required volume first before i fridge my expressed milk. Is it ok? Thanks.
Intercourse and Breastfeeding
Seems like during breastfeeding period the miss jayjay is so dry it’s making intercourse hurt. Any of you mummies feel guilty not able to make husband happy, yet you don’t want to give up breastfeeding? Mixed feelings. Yes, husband is understanding enough. And no, lubricant does not work for me.
Handling BM
Hi mummies, how long can chilled bm once taken out of fridge, last in room temperature? I am suddenly thinking of letting chilled bm sit out within a certain timeframe that it can last before warming it up (warmed bm last at most 2 hrs?) so as to extend the lifespan of the bm instead of wad I do usually, warm up chilled bm directly taken out from fridge which can only last 2 hrs..nowadays it is quite hard to predict my LO's feeding time? sometimes he goes 3 hours, 2.5 hours, 4 hours, 5 hours, 6 hours.
