I’m 27 weeks and 4 days. Just went to the gynae recently and she said that my baby is overweight. My baby is currently 1.5kg when its fetus weight should be 800-900g. Should I be worried? Baby is also measuring smaller at 26 weeks. Overweight but small in size :/ First time mom here

Pre School celebration

Want to ask when your lo went to pre sch did you guys celebrate like teacher's day, children's Day and Christmas by giving gifts to the students and teachers? And at which age do you start celebrating their birthday in sch

For IFC till K2, they don't celebrate Xmas or exchange gift that same goes with Children's Day. Usually just normal activities for fun and learning. But for teacher wise I do know that they give the kids Children's Day gift. For birthday 1 years old and above then celebrate.

Confinement nanny

Hi mummies, Any of you haven’t gotten a confinement nanny yet? I’ve one to let go. My Edd is 30 Nov Pm if you’re looking

That is really thoughtful of you to post here so another mum can benefit, since good confinement nannies are so hard to come by especially last minute. If any mummies are due around that time and still searching, do PM her quickly as slots fill up fast.

i'm currently 24 weeks pregnant

i have an appointment in the coming 2 days for my 6 months check up. I'm actually really scared because the last time i visit they told me next visit my drink the glucose. Any mommies have any idea whts that and wht it taste like i'm so scared 🤣🥲🥲🥲

No worries I just did the test yesterday. the new flavours is lemon lime. the last time orange one was more sweet. ask for it chilled. it will taste better.

low bp at 26 weeks

my bp is 104/59. is it something to be worried about?? i’m anaemic too taking iron supplements already. always feel lethargic, breathless and wanting to faint #advicepls

My bp is lower than that, also on iron supplements due to low blood count. U can check with your doc but for me I’m not too worried about it. Just slow down when u get out of bed / get up from a sitting position, slow down on some of your actions, works for me

Birthday celebration in sch

Dear mummies, at what stage do or would you celebrate your LO birthday in sch? What r the things you usually prepare?

For school celebrations here, most mums I know keep it simple, a small cake or cupcakes, some goodie bags with biscuits or light snacks, and maybe a little stationery item tucked in. Someone in my mum group mentioned it's really worth checking with the teacher first, because some schools have guidelines around no sweet treats or even no gifts, so you don't want to prepare something elaborate and then have to scale it back. Halal-friendly snacks are a good default if your child's class is mixed, since it covers everyone without you having to overthink it. Some parents also do a little thank-you card made together with the child, which is a sweet touch without adding much cost or effort, though honestly, a simple birthday song and a small treat is already enough to make the child feel special at school.

Hi, may I ask if KKH staff can help me measure my nipple size to get e correct flange size for pump?

i measured mine at a baby fair. Happened to see medela booth with the size measurment. They should have in their brochure. So I took my meaurement there few days before my EDD. KKH lactation consultant can help u to meaure too. But i am glad i brought my breast pump with me cos the LC also taught me how to use the pump properly and how to let baby latch properly

Which hospital cheaper, TMC or Mount Alvernia?

Which hospital cheaper for 4-bedder? TMC or Mount Alvernia?

From what I've heard around, Mount Alvernia's 4-bedder hospital charges work out to roughly $2,900+ (after GST and some card discount), plus doctor fees on top of that, so the total can still hit $10, 12k depending on your delivery type. TMC tends to run a bit higher overall for similar ward types, so Mount Alvernia does seem to have a slight edge on the base hospital bill. My friend delivered at Mount Alvernia with an assisted natural birth and said the costs were manageable, though she noted the doctor's attendance and delivery fees added a significant chunk on top of the ward charges. It really depends on your gynae's fees too, since that can swing the total either way, so I'd say get itemised estimates from both hospitals based on your specific gynae before deciding.

Breakfast for 2 years old

Hi mummy! Can you share with me what kinds of breakfast you gave to your baby 2 years old?..

For a 2-year-old, I'd say eggs are probably the most reliable go-to, scrambled with a little milk for extra protein, or a simple omelette, both come together in under five minutes and most toddlers take to them well. Banana pancakes (just banana and egg mashed together) are another easy win, no added salt or sugar needed, which makes it quite suitable for that age. Some mums I know also rotate between plain yogurt with fruit, avocado toast, and oatmeal just to keep things from getting too repetitive, the variety helps if your little one is going through a fussy phase. The trade-off with the fancier options like cream cheese bagels or fruit smoothies is really just prep time versus how adventurous your toddler is feeling that morning, so it's worth having a few simple backups ready. Overall I'd start with eggs and oatmeal as your base, then slowly introduce the others to see what sticks!

Just did my 2nd trimester test baby blood vessels only 2 instead of 3 gynae gave me asprin 100 mg to take feeling quite worried if it safe for my baby I m at week 22

I am taking Aspirin.. it’s definitely safe for baby
