How can I encourage my hubby to pay more attention to me & my 29weeks baby? I feel sad & down when his mind only work work work & when return home didn't ask much bout our day. I can imagine I have to handle baby all the time when baby is born. He is like a ATM daddy already. When I ask him to kiss baby bump good bye he jus do as I said. No meaning if I ask n he do right. Am I thinking too much or how can I get him more involved?

I dont really bother much because this pregnancy he really dont ask much. The least he ask for is to go wif me for gynae checks which i have gone few times without him. 😂 he doesnt really ask much either or even kiss my tummy. Very unlike the firstborn where there is alot of attention. But its ok.

Medela Swing Maxi vs Spectra Dual Compact

Hello, currently deciding between these two breastpump - Medela Swing Maxi - Spectra Dual Compact Any recommendations/reviews on which is better?

Both are solid pumps, but they do serve slightly different needs. The Medela Swing Maxi is known for being compact and lightweight, and you can switch between single and double pumping without any loss in performance, which is quite convenient if your pumping routine changes. The Spectra Dual Compact is a decent option too, though some mums find the hands-free setup trickier to manage, and a few mentioned their output was actually lower compared to when they switched to Medela. A friend of mine who pumped for over a year swears by Medela for consistency and ease of cleaning, which matters a lot when you're doing multiple sessions a day. My lean would be toward the Swing Maxi if portability and flexibility are priorities for you, but if you respond better to the Spectra's suction style, that's very personal and worth considering too.

Not being with my first child during my stay at hospital to give birth

Anyone has any good tips for first born to survive? My first born is quite close to me.

Honestly, the separation is hard but most first kids adjust better than we expect, a lot depends on how you frame it to them before you go in. Before your hospital stay, try role-playing it with your child so it feels less sudden, and make sure whoever is caring for them (grandparent, husband) keeps the routine as normal as possible, same bedtime, same meals, because familiar structure really helps. Someone in my mum group mentioned recording a short voice message or video for the caregiver to play at bedtime, so your child still hears your voice even when you're not there, some mums loved this, though a couple said their child got more upset hearing mum and not seeing her, so you know your child best. Also worth keeping in mind that a vaginal birth is usually just 1, 2 nights away, while a C-section can stretch to around 3, 4 days, so it helps to mentally prepare your child (and yourself) for the longer scenario just in case. The separation feels bigger to us as mums than it often does to the child once they're busy with grandma or whoever is with them, so go in with a plan and try not to feel too guilty about it.

how many swaddle/muslin needed for a baby?

Heartburn at 3rd trimester

Hi, any tips on how to overcome heartburn and acid reflux during 3rd trimester? Currently at 31 weeks. Already drank water but it still won’t go away.

I ate Rennie's peppermint tablets to help ease the heartburn 😅

Itching all over.

I’m on my 3rd trimester and I’ve started itching from end of 2nd trimester till now, my ankles, my legs and hands itch and worst one on my tattoos which are many years old, I have like tiny rash that comes and goes. now I have tiny scabs due to scratching, it’s uncontrollable. Doctor gave me moisturiser cream which doesn’t help with the itch.

I'd say if you have the time slot available, go for it, better to have the information and not need it than the other way around.
