Hospitalization leave

Hello all mummies/mummies to be, during pregnancy, do you have hospitalization leave issued so that you can rest at home(or work from home)?

i requested hl for 2 weeks before my edd. other than that is wfh but need to visit client office weekly, still manageable.

Pregnant and working

Hi mummies, when do you stop working or kick in your maternity leave/ annual leave? Do you need to work until the day you give birth? My job require me to be on site everyday and the company does not believe in working from home

i requested hl from my gynae 2 weeks before edd and ml kickstart on the day baby is born. i understand your company doesnt believe wfh but can they consider hybrid work arrangement due to pregnancy? As of December 1, 2024, new Tripartite Guidelines on Flexible Work Arrangement Requests (TG-FWAR) are in effect, mandating that employers in Singapore must establish a formal process to consider employee requests for flexible work arrangements (FWAs), including hybrid models. you can look it up in TAFEP websites.

Isit too early to feel baby movement at w13d6?

I also felt the movement. I’m at week 13 too! But online always say won’t feel until 16 weeks.

1st visit to kkh at 6wks, no blood test, is it alright?

Usually referral letter from polyclinic to kkh, for 1st visit will have blood test?Only did ultra scan and urine test. height and weight too. #Needadvice #askmommies #PregnancyAdvise

In NUH, they don’t do any blood test till week 12 Same for my last 2 babies as well

9wks pregnant but doctor no prescribe folic acid.

How many mg or mcg do I need?previously get from pharmacy on my own they gave 5mg. is it too high? #Needadvice #askmommies #PregnancyAdvise

At least 400 mcg of folic acid. You can just go to the pharmacy to get any folic acid. Even their house brand is fine too.

Reviews on Dr Loke Kah Leong and recommended gynae in north east area

Anyone has any reviews or comment on Dr Loke Kah Leong in Tampines? Also, is there any recommendation for gynae in the North East areas?

Havent seen him before but based on what I have read from others, he seems to be the type of gynae who suits mummies who prefer a no-frills, experienced doctor over one who is chatty and hand-holdy. If you are a first-time mum who needs a lot of reassurance and explanation, you might find the style a bit clinical. But you won’t know till you meet him. He's been in private practice since 1991 and is very experienced, with fellowships from both the Academy of Medicine Singapore and the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in the UK. So credentials-wise he is solid. For other North East area gynaes, mummies often recommend those based at Tampines or Bedok polyclinics for referrals first, or private options like gynaes at Parkway East Hospital which is accessible from the east-northeast. Would love to hear from other mummies in the area who can share their personal experiences too!

im in my first trimester. my back hurts like shit. anybody has any remedy for this. doc advise me not to use muscle cream but does not offer me any remedy😭😭😭 im internally crying in office

Maybe you can ask your husband to massage your back gently while you sit up or lay side. Don’t lay on your stomach.
