Nuchal Translucency scan

I have a Nuchal Translucency scan scheduled at NUH, and im a bit confused. Is this scan different from the NIPT test, or the scan itself is part of the NIPT test? Thanks in advance! 🙏

It is a different scan. I did the NT scan and they ask if I want to do the NIPT. The NIPT is optional. I opted for NIPT as well and for NIPT is using blood test.

Falling down in the toilet

Hi mummies, i feel down in the toilet today due to it being slippery but i manage to panic enough to lower the impact by falling on my butt, but i'm afraid about anything happening to baby. My first appointment to the gynae is in 3 days so i was wondering if i shld wait it out or look for emergency help. What should i do?

Our uterus is actually lined with strong and thick muscles and filled with amniotic water to protect and cushion the baby. It should be okay. However, if you are really worried then you should consult a gynae for a peace of mind. I had a bad fall during my first trimester - I flew out of the scooter during my oversea trip and thankfully my baby is safe.

App calculated 6weeks 4 days but smaller than 6weeks on scan

But during ultrasound, it’s only measured to be 1.7mm with heartbeat. Dr says unable to give EDD, she says it’s too small😓 but the radiographer says it’s abt 5weeks plus. Baby is smaller than the last menses calculation. Should I b worried

you may have ovulated later. based on my LMP, it should be 10 weeks but i’m only at 8 weeks cos i ovulated 2 weeks late.

Hi! Im currently 6 weeks pregnant, it is safe to travel and take flight?

I travelled to South Korea for 2 weeks when I was week 7. I personally think it’s fine, hence I travelled. However if you’re concern, best to seek advice from your gynae instead of here!

What do the gynae check on 5week 5days?

Hi mummies 🙂 My menses 3days late so i took preggy kit to test.. so happy finally preggy naturally after trying to conceive 1yr4mths.. previously i went to kkh fertility dept(cos 1yr still no baby), they gave me folic acid & vitamin D tablets, been eating those since May 2024..😬 After getting knw preggy, i went polyclinic, she gave me 'iron' tablets. Wgen i google, its for those having nausea/vomit. Im not sure im having nausea or just normal sleepy dizziness..😬🤕i nvr vomit. Dr ask me to eat folic acid+ vitamin D+ iron tablet everyday.. Do u guys eating these too, during 1st trimester? Currently on my 5th week. I got refferal letter from polyclinic, to get subsidised at kkh. My 1st appt will b nxt monday, (5weeks 5days). Will they do vaginal ultrasound scan or abdomen scan?

Im about 5/6 week ish, currently taking iron pills, fish oil and folic acid.

Should I be worried?

Went in for a U/S today at 5w5d. Managed to see the gestational sac and nothing else. Sac was measuring exactly 5w5d. Have seen some people being able to see fetal pole n yoke sac at 5w5d. Next appt would be Wed where i'll be 6w4d. Do i need to be worried? So far no bleeding. There's some sort of symptoms like on and off tender boobs, bloating and gassy, mild nausea?

same here mine also see gestational sac and of coz we mother would be worry.. but just hope for the best.. might be baby too small cant be seen yet.. as for me i need to come back in 2 weeks that is when my baby abt 7 to 8 weeks as my gynea told me.. i do also have on off tender boobs , bloating gassy and mild nausea too.. dun worry ok unless u spot bleeding den that another story.. if no bleeding , no cramp or pain u all good..

Why suddenly at 5 weeks 4th day i feel no cramp at all but just more tiring

Hi mommies, is it normal 5 weeks 2 days i felt the pulled sensation and cramp..then 3rd day i felt constipated and back achr and 4th day suddenly i dont feel anything? Is my baby safe? Thanks.. worrying here

is it normal to feel normal? like prepreggy self? during the first trimester?

Hello Mummies! Found out I was pregnant and went for a vaginal scan. bb was 5 weeks 5 days. I was feeling rather like my usual body self until my supposed period was 1 week late and the nausea, cramps and all came during the missed period week and lasted for like about 1.5 weeks. now Im at week 6 and im feeling like prepreggy situation. is this normal? a little worried that something might have happened. :( however there isnt any weird discharges, just occasional itchiness and smells.
