Quit job or hire a maid
Hi Mums, I’d really appreciate your advice on my situation. I’ve been a stay-at-home mum (SAHM) caring for my 2-year-old, but now she’s in childcare. In 2025, she’ll turn 4, and I plan to transition her to a regular 3-hour kindergarten. I’m also due to deliver in May 2025. Currently, I work part-time from home, but my salary only covers a small portion of our grocery expenses and a couple hundreds of saving. I’m trying to figure out what would be the best option moving forward, and I’d love to hear your experiences and advice on the following: 1. Quit my job after maternity leave and focus on handling both kids (with my husband being the sole breadwinner, as he used to be, but now with two kids). 2. Continue working part-time from home and care for my toddler, while placing my newborn in infant care after 4 months. (Can anyone share roughly how much infant care costs?) 3. Continue working part-time and hire a maid, with my salary mainly going toward the maid’s costs. (Any mums here have a maid? How much do they cost?) I’d really appreciate it if you could share any rough cost estimates, even if they vary, so I can make a more informed decision. My husband is leaning towards Option 3, but I personally think Option 2 might work better. I just want to weigh the costs and pros and cons before making my decision. Thanks so much for your help!

Which position is safe for 2nd trimester?
I went for downsymdrom screening today. My fetus position was face down the whole time. Baby barely move to get captured, I have to go for a walk and come back to the ultrasound room to try three times also hard to get it move the fetus. Luckily one senior staff come in and help to use another method then successful. My husband worry that if the fetus facing down will have more chance of miscarriage and I am also a bit worry. Idk because of he facing down position, my belly was more heavy and very hard to move myself. Can some experience person tell us is it safe position if the fetus facing down during 2nd trimester, please? Thank you.
