Morning Sickness

Currently 8th week pregnant and having morning sickness throughout. Can anyone please give me some assurance that morning sickness will actually stop at the end of trimester 1??? I cant take it anymore!!!! 😭😭😭😭

Heart beating hard/fast

I'm not sure my heart is beating hard or fast. I'm in the 8 weeks few days range. It feels like there's something at my heart kinda feeling.. Not sure is it beating fast or hard. Is it normal?

Normal. Pregnancy causes higher heart rate.

Hi Mommies, has anyone got preeclampsia during first pregnancy and has / no recurring one for the second pregnancy? Apparently my gynae has prescribed aspirin due to my first pregnancy preeclampsia. I wonder if i could skip taking this aspirin as I am not sure what is the chances of having a recurring one for my second pregnancy? And if there is any side effect for taking this medication?

Sorry to hear about your first pregnancy complication :( I am a family physician and I hope to reassure you that Aspirin has been shown with good evidence to reduce the risk of pre-eclampsia recurrence , which typically develops after 20 weeks. Having previous pre-eclampsia is a “high risk group” for recurrence, for which you shld be on aspirin from 12 weeks onwards . Aspirin in younger individuals are usually safe. The side effect of concern is risk of bleeding but this risk is low in younger populations like yourself. In comparison the risk of pre-eclampsia will carry risk to yourself and baby I would suggest you continue this as prescribed by your obstetrician and ask them your questions in detail during your next visit.

5kg in the first trimester

I'm in Week 12, and I have gone from 54 to 59kg. I eat very often since I am pregnant to avoid nausea. I'll start vomitting whenever I feel hungry (even the slightest), and I cant let it as I need to teach in class. Lesson hour usually varies from 2 to 4 hours, sometimes back to back. Too small a portion can't last long before I'll feel nauseous again. Any advice/tips? #advicepls #firsttimemom #pleasehelp #nausea #morningsickness

Just reached 13 weeks and still having nausea and vomitting in the morning like you. Keeping meiji crackers and mints in my bag at all times helps alot.

Spotting at 12 weeks help

Started spotting again at 12 weeks help! Is this normal?

I think it’s best to seek this type of advice from your gynae or pay a visit for assurance. Supposedly, spotting can be normal or an infection and can also be a sign of miscarriage hence it’s better to check with your gynae.

Any way to relieve ache on hip?

Almost 13 weeks now.. whenever I sleep on my right and left side and I try to move, I'll always get this aching feeling on my hips for a few seconds. Tried sleeping on softer mattress also the same. It wakes me up sometimes when I'm sleeping and changing position. End up making me feel tired going to work since I don't get enough sleep :(

Hi moms, Currently first pregnancy and having dry cough, am not sure if I can take cough candies such as fisherman friend or strepsils? Every time I cough, my womb hurts a little. 🥹

Size of a 7 week fetus for 9 gestational weeks

Hi hi, just did my 9 week scan today and my doctor said the size of my baby is for 7w++ only. He said it’s like that because my period is usually late for a week. Anyone experienced/experiencing the same? Was your baby able to catch up with their growth according to their gestational week?#pleasehelp #advicepls #firstbaby

Hi, if your period always irregular so I think if u ovulate late and conceive late so you might not be 9 weeks.. when i found out i’m pregnant, i calculate from my lmd and suppose to be my 7weeks but did my Transvaginal Scan only 4-5weeks. My gynae told me irregular menses can be the cause of ovulate late and conceive late.. My baby is growing well and now 10 weeks 😊

The Tiny Heartbeat 💓

Heard my baby's heartbeat for the first time today. It's the most beautiful music I have ever heard in my life 🥹 It was tiny but very strong. Saw it on the ultrasound screen flickering like the stars you see in the night sky 🌌 #firstbaby

I really feel you on this, that first time hearing the heartbeat is something that just stops you in your tracks. My girl's first scan, I was trying so hard not to cry in front of the sonographer but I completely failed. That little flicker on the screen looks so small but somehow it makes everything feel so real and so big at the same time. Congratulations on your first baby, such a precious moment to hold onto.
