Marquette Method

I am looking into natural family planning methods. I learned that Marquette Method is the most efficient and effective NFP and is dependable, but the issue is that most of the items I find online is not Asia based. Does anyone know any Singapore based resource that I can depend? #Needadvice

The Marquette Method uses a hormone monitor (typically the Clearblue Advanced Fertility Monitor) to track estrogen and LH levels, which gives you a more objective reading of your fertile window compared to methods that rely solely on temperature or mucus observation. You are right that most of the certified instructors and resources are US-based, which can make it tricky to get support here. For Singapore-based resources, a few avenues worth exploring: FCPS Singapore (Family and Community Planning Society) offers natural family planning support and education locally and would be a good starting point to ask if they have practitioners familiar with the Marquette Method specifically. Catholic Family Life also runs NFP programmes in Singapore and while they traditionally teach the Billings Ovulation Method, some of their educators have knowledge across multiple NFP methods and may be able to point you to a Marquette-trained instructor or online support. For the monitor itself, the Clearblue Advanced Fertility Monitor is available in Singapore at major pharmacies so that part is straightforward. The test sticks are also available locally. The Marquette Method Institute in the US does offer online instruction and remote follow-up consultations which many Singapore-based users have found works well. Since the method relies on a device rather than purely subjective observation, the remote learning tends to translate quite well. Worth also checking Facebook groups for NFP Singapore communities as there may be local mummies already practising Marquette who can share their experience firsthand. Hope this helps!

1st child csec due to breech (36wk+), 2nd child wanted to try vbac. Wondering whether vbac can induce ? Can share your experience for 2nd child vbac and at which week will delivery starts?

VBAC is usually possible, especially since your first C-sec was for breech (that’s not a recurring reason). For induction - can be done, but doctors are usually more careful with VBAC. Many prefer to wait for natural labour if possible as some induction methods carry more risk. Timing-wise, same as normal pregnancy (around 37–41 weeks), but your OB will monitor you more closely and may not let you go too far overdue. Best to check with your OB early. they’ll advise based on your case 👍

How do you manage?

#Needadvice How do you manage picking up kid in pre school, fetching kid and need to travel 1hr to work place and back. Putting kid in childcare from 7am to 7pm. My heart just 🥲

Currently in the same situation as you 🥲 Just that I’m unable to pick my kid from school as I take 1.5 hours to reach home. My heart aches and the guilt is strong, but no choice.. need to work to earn money. Let’s be strong 💪🏻

My last lmp is on 15apr. Took a clearblue test on 25may and it shows 3+. Got a KKH appointment on 6June. Is the appointment too early? As i do not want to go for the first scan to not be able to see a heartbeat. (I had a MMM previously hence why im anxious if i had to wait for another appointment to see the heartbeat)

Would swaddling straighten my baby’s legs?

As per the title, would swaddling my baby straighten her legs? My husband is concerned that her legs are slightly bent and is worried that she would grow up with bow legs. My baby is currently 2 months old. #Needadvice

It would be best if you can check with a PD if she really got slightly bent legs.
