Do I need to see a Maternal Fetal Medicine doctor or just a regular OB for normal pregnancy?

Here in the PH, do I need to see a Maternal Fetal Medical doctor or just a regular OB if im having a normal pregnancy naman? Just want a medical and practical opinion on this. There are two OBs in my small hometown and one is a regular OB and the other one is an MFM specialist. Do I need to see the MFM one or the regular OB? Will there be a huge difference since I am having a normal and smooth sailing pregnancy naman? Also on the practical side, malaki ba ang difference ng PF ng OBGYNE sa MFM? Thanks in advance!

Regular OB will do unless you have complications.

A few of us had the same experience after our stitches were removed, ang healing process talaga ng perineum ay may itching phase, kaya don't worry. Try keeping the area clean and dry, and if you're comfortable, you can use unscented moisturizer or ask your OB about safe creams para sa itching; some of my mum friends swear by gentle, fragrance-free products habang tumatagal ang healing. But if the itching is super intense or may redness, warmth, or discharge, best to message your OB agad kasi baka may minor irritation na kailangan i-check, better safe than sorry pag post-partum, sis!

Bubukod after manganak

Dami mong iisipin. Tama ba desisyon namin bubukod after 1-2mos after ko manganak? 37 weeks and 5 days here.. anytime, pwede na lalabas si baby..

Oo, mommy, dizziness at body aches near the end of pregnancy ay common, pero since you're also feeling feverish, please see your doctor or go to the hospital today to get checked, better safe than sorry, lalo na kayo 37 weeks na! A few of my mum friends had similar experiences towards the end, but the feverish feeling is something the doctor needs to rule out, especially since you're so close to delivery na. Take care of yourself, at huwag mag-alala, you're doing great!

Help a CS momma!!

Do’s and dont’s! #firsttimemom

follow advice of OB about stitch care (to avoid infection) and activities when you get home. no heavy house chores. focus on your baby first. sia lang ang pwedeng buhatin na mabigat for faster recovery sa tahi sa loob. kahit CS ay hindi laging nakahiga to keep blood flowing. always wear your binder to support your belly. when nursing, you can use pillow under baby para hindi masakit sa likod. you can also do side lying breastfeeding but you need to know how to do it properly for safety of baby. support system ni hubby/partner, pinaka importante, to help you in taking care of your baby. eat food na vitamin-rich, fiber, iron-rich due to blood loss and avoid constipation. don't eat food na makakapagconstipate.
