Is it ok to let a 2 month old baby to drink a sip of water? Maybe aboout 5 to 10ml?
It's not recommended. Giving water to a newborn can disrupt their feeding. It may even cause health consequences if given too much water - since the kidneys are not yet mature and too much water will release sodium along with excess water, and loss of sodium can affect brain activity. Your breastmilk or formula milk (given at the right ratio of powdered milk to water) will be enough to keep your baby hydrated.
Read moreno. if formula is heaty, change formula. the water content in formula is already enough. be careful on water intoxication. you need to test out formula on every stage. it doesnt mean that stage 1 LO suits this brand, stage 2 will be same. have to trial
Their tummies are not well developed/equipped to be having water at 2 months old, or below 6 months old actually. Formula and breastmilk are already a big percentage of water, and the only kind of fluid/food/drink they need until 6 months old!
yes it maybe heaty. alternatively it could be possible that you may have to switch milk. some babies get very heaty and constipated due to the milk. it's more of trail and error. but water definitely not for a 2 month old baby.

2 months old too young. I wouldn't give. Unless baby is about 6months old then I'll give sips of water after his meal. Why do you want to give water anyways
no you don't need to offer water to babies below 6 months
