i'm due July 2025 and scared AF
Hello mummies, is it true that giving birth is really that scary? I’m currently in early pregnancy but I get really paranoid after hearing people’s stories about childbirth. I’m scared, and I have anxiety/overthinking issues. So every day I worry… I feel anxious about what it will be like when the time comes for me to give birth.

Ngl I found it scary before I gave birth too!! Afterall baby will be coming out from your body and it can be traumatising with the blood and all. But tbh as a mum, you won’t get to see most of the blood nor feel much pain (if you’re on pain medications!). Trust your doctor and your husband to make sound decisions on the day itself so that you can worry less and just focus on yourself and the baby! :)
Read moreMy fourth pregnancy and definitely still very anxious about giving birth. The fear will always be the same like it’s my first but truly, on that very day, you will forget everything at the moment and your natural instinct and idk, your sudden motherhood-strength-superpower will pull you through. It jz happens. 💕💪🏼
Read moreHey mummy, totally get you. I was super scared too during my first pregnancy. But honestly, your body knows what to do. Surround yourself with positive birth stories—it really helps!
You're not alone. I have anxiety as well and used to cry just thinking about labour. But talking to my gynae and attending antenatal classes helped ease my fears a lot.
Don't be shy to talk to your doctor about your fears. Mine reassured me and even let me know about pain relief options early on. That gave me some peace of mind.
Yes, it’s scary… but you’re stronger than you think. I was terrified, but when the moment came, instinct took over. And the nurses were super supportive.
I used to watch all those scary labour TikToks… worst idea ever 😅 Once I stopped doing that and started reading positive stories, I felt so much better!
Honestly, people love to dramatise birth stories. Not everyone’s experience is the same. Some are tough, but many are manageable with the right support.
Same here! First trimester and already anxious. But I started practising breathing techniques early, and it's been helping me feel more in control.
Just want to say—whatever you’re feeling is valid. But don’t let fear steal the joy of your pregnancy, ya? You're doing amazing already.
