I know how you feel. I was in the same boat as you. I am also worried about leaving my baby with others but I don’t have a choice. I don’t have the energy to take care and engage with my baby as he grows older, I need to work to support my family too. I think he will probably need me more when he grows older say 2-3 years old. Then I would probably consider being a SAHM. Find a good childcare centre and you will see your baby become more independent and sociable.

Hey Mum, I can understand that it is hard to leave your baby and go to work. I would suggest talk to your husband about this and try to figure out solutions which will make you more relieved for example, having a helper, discussing at work about work from home arrangement etc. This way you can work as well as have time to spend with your baby :)

Work out finances clearly and talk to your hubby about it. Can you both jointly afford to live on just one income? There will be a lot of expenses once baby arrives, on top of your usual expenses.

Consider the options and resources you have. Perhaps it may be possible to work part-time at your job? This will allow you to still have income and also more time to spend with your baby.

Felt the same like you too. Eventually i decided to leave my full time job and am working halfday instead. I value time spent with my baby more than money/work. Had to sacrifice abit.

It depends on whether your hubby is ok with u taking a break and whether u guys can handle the finances with only one person earning. So it’s best to talk to your hubby about it.

You have to discuss with your husband. For me I decided to be sahm cos money can always be earn. But the process of their growing up once gone is forever gone.

If your company allows no pay leave, can consider try out a few months to see if you can really stay at home 😛

If your husband can support all your needs then I think you can ask him if you can be SAHM.

Discuss with your boss and see if you can work from home or change to part time...
