Cream? Moisturiser? HELP
Hi mummies. My 2 year old girl has a mosquito bites, it heals but there’s brown spots. Is there any cream that’s able to whiten those spots on her skin? Much help pleasee. TIA!

Hi! I totally get the frustration, mosquito bites on toddlers can leave those stubborn brown spots for ages. The thing is, at two years old, you'll want to be quite careful with what you use, so it's really worth checking with her paediatrician first before trying any brightening creams, even gentle ones. From what I've heard, the key is actually catching it early, keeping the bite calm and moisturised while it's healing (so she doesn't scratch and make the mark darker) matters more than trying to fade it after. A simple, fragrance-free moisturiser applied regularly helps, and some mums swear by keeping hydrocortisone cream on hand for the inflammation stage itself, though again, best to ask the doctor about that for her age. The marks do fade on their own over time, but it's a waiting game, could take a few months depending on her skin. In the meantime, good sun protection on those spots helps too!
