Ectopic Pregnancy

Hi ladies, for those who has encountered ectopic pregnancy, at which week did you guys found out and by which week is it too late for the jab and have to go through surgery? Was there any tell tale sign that on your pregnancy test kit that its an ectopic pregnancy? Faint pregnancy line etc?
