My kid is very attached to my maid. Is this a reason to worry?

This never happened with me, but when I was staying in Mumbai, my friend who was a doctor had a maid with whom her daughter used to stay whole day, and the daughter was very attached to the maid. Since the maid was with them right from the time when the girl was four-month-old, she used to look upto the maid. The mother got insecure and used to discuss that if she would make food for her daughter, she would say that Suman aunty makes it better and I will eat from her hand. I wondered the fact that a doctor too can think this way. But then there was my cousin's son who was very attached to her aunt as she used to stay with him the whole day. The kid was inseparable and even used to call her Badi Mumma. Now, after years, when he has grown up to be a big boy, he no doubt still has a bond with her aunt but mother comes first. No matter what, the bond between mother and kid cannot be substituted by anyone. I think, it' s nothing to worry about. After all you are the mother and nothing is going to lessen your value in his/her life. It is just a phase.

yes , actually it is a big concerned , because your kids should be with you always , because one day believe it or not , your kids will not listen to you but they might listen your maid instead .

Very normal as your maid spends the most time with your child. At least you know that your maid is doing a good job in taking care of your child.

I dont c a concern. Overall is child's good wellbeing, but not only looking at own personal preferences
