Feed baby during take off and landing. The swallowing motion helps to reduce gases trapped within the middle ear which causes discomfort to the baby when cabin altitude changes during take off and landing phrases during the flight. Letting the baby cry also helps to reduce the air build up in the ear, so don’t worry if your baby do cry if feeding is not possible at that moment. And oh, don’t feed your baby too early when aircraft is taxi-ing. Sometimes the taxi might take a long time, feed when aircraft is picking up speed to take off - that’s your cue! And for liquid, for acceptable consumption amount and with baby travelling with you - it is allowed. If not, and if you’re traveling with SQ, you can request for crew to get warm water for you, just need to tell them your preference of hot water to room temp water ratio of the milk bottle. They are very helpful towards parents with infants. 😊 Have an awesome holiday!

Try to feed baby during take offs and landing if baby is not on pacifier (this can help to relieve some pressure from their ears). If baby is with you, you’ll be able to bring liquid in (do note when come back, it may not be the same for individual airports/staffs). I make baby milk on board (ask FA for hot water) to top up my cold formula stash (baby prefer cold formula). I also had a few bottles of premade cold formula which I also asked FA to store in fridge for me. Prepack baby formula in disposable milk powder bags.

Went to BKK when my son was 6 months old and he did pretty well. I was breastfeeding at the time so I did latch him during takeoff and landing. Liquid on flight is no issue, just say it’s for baby’s milk. Travelled with my baby abt 5 times now and had no issues with it. Ensure you have sufficient milk powder with you in the flight. Better overpack than underpack unless you are breastfeeding too. Hot water you can bring in or just ask from the stewardess
