You have to let go of things. Try to ignore things because your nature will affect you the most in a negative way. And if I tell you that you will have wrinkles on your face and look old much before than you actually would just because of getting irritated often, I am sure you would not ask for any other idea as how to control it. ;) But, yes, when you get irritable over petty things or big things, it first of all comes on our face and if we keep on doing the same thing the expression start leaving its mark on the face. It had started happening to me just till last month. I used to get so angry and irritable over the things that kids would be doing. I was always screaming or frowning about the mess that kids would make or if they didn't do things according to how I wanted. And it happened so that when I used to see myself in the mirror, I would see lines forming over my forehead and I felt end of my lips drooping. I don't know, perhaps I started overthinking that my irritable behaviour was affecting my face, but I think that helped me to control my behaviour. I mean, looking good is one of my priorities. :) So, the feeling that I might be losing my charm worked for me. You can try meditation and yoga. It will relax your mind and since you are aware of your problem, it will be easier for you to deal with it. You can also involve yourself in some hobby. It will keep you busy and you will get a new perspective of dealing with things and will help.
Okay, may I ask you if you are hundred percent in everything you do? The reason I say so is that we each have our own perspectives, right? And you too understand it, which is why you're worried that you're obsessing too much. Why not let others take some of the decisions and responsibilities and use the time and effort to do things you enjoy? It will help you de-stress, and will also keep you from worrying too much. And hey, even if things are not always your way, think that others too need a chance to get things done their way (even if sometimes) ;)
if u call ur issue obsessive behaviour then u need therapy. pls see a good psychotherapist. it's necessary to curtail this now before it worsened.
