I had surgery (C-section) around 5 weeks ago. Now I'm having pain like cramping around c-section area. Is this normal? how to overcome this pain?

I had a C-section 9 months ago and I still do feel the occasional twinge or cramp! I have asked my gynecologist and she says it is perfectly normal. However, I am not too sure the intensity of the cramp that you are facing. Have you been resting sufficiently? Since you are only 5 weeks postpartum, you should take it easy. Do avoid rigorous activities, take plenty of fluids and rest up. This info should help you. http://www.emedicinehealth.com/cesarean_section-health/page5_em.htm If the cramp or pain persists, please do make a doctor's appointment and get it checked.

i had a discomfort and slight pain, like a tug, even after more than a year of the c-sec. but to be safe, i will suggest you please speak to your doc and get the area checked. if there is any soreness, swelling, itching, or redness, make it ASAP
