When my husband's cousin had gestational diabetes, she just consulted a nutritionist. I think there isn't really a specialist for fetal nutrition. During pregnancy, mom and baby are essentially one biological unit and whatever mom consumes, it may be passed to the baby. And the specialist responsible for this would be a nutritionist. I guess if you'd seek their opinion, they can pretty much answer a lot of your concern
