How should one deal with nightmares?

Ugh nightmares are the worst, leaves you feeling so unsettled even after waking up! I usually do a few deep breathing exercises to calm my heart down, then get up and drink some water or warm milk to help settle myself! If nightmares are happening frequently, it could be linked to stress or anxiety so do speak to a doctor if it's affecting your sleep regularly! And honestly saying a little prayer before bed helps me feel so much more at peace and protected!
