Baby drools a lot

Dear parents, my 5 month old drools a lot, so much so that the drool pads on his baby carrier are entirely soaked through and the carrier’s shoulder pads are wet too - despite having drool pads!! Any advise on how to prevent the shoulder pads from getting wet? Anyone seen “waterproof” drool pads? Pls recommend. Thanks in advance!
