how long does heart burn effect last?

Hi, 7 weeks pregnant and just had my first heartburn after vomiting. Also my first heartburn ever. It feels really horrible. How long will the feeling of burning last? I can't even swallow water without feeling pain.

I think mine took maybe an hour? Antacids are okay for pregnancy. You may want to consider taking them?
