My 45 days baby cries a lot and also very loud in evening till her night sleep. I consulted with a doctor and she gave medicine for cold only but still my baby is in same position. Is it serious or normal?? Also she sleeps in my lap and when I put her down on bed she gets up just after 5 minutes and cries.
I also feel this is because of colic, and sometimes, even though you may be doing everything right, baby still continues to be in pain and cry. i would say continue massaging your baby's navel area with a paste of heeng and water. do so with a little pressure to ease out any gas buildup. also hold baby in an elevated position while feeding and keep burping at all times. speak to your doc about the best and safest medicine that you can give, as your baby is very young. don't lose heart, as colic surely goes away by the 5th month.
Read moreHi, I think, you should wait for a day or two and continue with the doctor's prescription. It is no surprise that kids cry because of cold as their nose gets blocked and since they are so small they get irritable switching into breathing from mouth. I say this because my daughter often cries at night when her nose is blocked or have congestion. She cries off and on because her sleep is disturbed because of disturbance in breathing. I suggest wait for a day or so and if she still doesn't show any improvement, visit the doctor again.
Read moreHey mom I definitely feel this is because of colic. My younger one went through the same problem. I'd suggest u start massaging her belly button area in slow circular motions with a mix of heeng and water. It will help to release gas. Also, keep helping her burp. While feeding, place her head in a slightly elevated position. All in all, hold her and soothe her and love her a lot. She will find it difficult to handle the pain and discomfort so keep making her comfortable. Ask the doc about any safe medication u can give

Hello, I suggest continue with the medicine that the doctor has given and apply asafoetida paste on the baby's navel every night or may be after bath. Take little asafoetida and mix little water to make a paste of it. Then apply a little on the belly button of the baby. It is a natural home remedy to relieve colic. So, in this way you will be addressing the issues that both you and your doctor suspects. I am sure she will be fine with it.
Read moreIt could be due to colic pain. Perhaps you can look for some home remedies to sooth colic or change positions while feeding the baby. Sometime babies cry for no reason at all but just that they are not happy with the way they're being held. Try changing your baby's usual sleeping and holding position and see if it works. Else, go for a second opinion
