Pumping at work

Hello mummies, my maternity leave is ending soon and I’m planning to express milk during work, just wondering if anyone can give advice on how to sterilize your breastpump multiple times at work? Coz I’ll be working for straight 12 hours in a day i cant imagine how i can store breastmilk without sterilizing my breastpump😓 thanks

I pump 2x at work rinse with HOT water after pump and keep the whole thermal bag into office fridge

Baby not gaining enough weight

Hi all just wanna know everyone's opinion. My baby is 5 mos+ 1 week now and only gained like 3000gms from our last visit to the clinic which was last month, she weighs 5.3kg now length is 63cm, she was born a small baby weighing 2.5kg only, i dont know if i should be worried that she's gaining quite slowly now compared to previous month. I've read through some infos and so far her urine output is normal and passing motion 2x or 3x daily. No fever and very energetic baby. I tried supplementing her with my expressed milk once cause i thought she's burning more calories now that she's more active but she only vomits it out. During milk time she's very distracted and drink fast like 3 mins per breast max, she only drink longer when she's sleepy. Any tips? Should i be worried and bring her to pedia? Next visit is on her 6th month

Hi dear:) don’t worry about it. Your baby has more than doubled her birth weight, so that’s good. What’s important is that she is gaining weight and hopefully at least moving along the same centile on the growth chart, that she feeds well, has good outputs (pee and poo) and is active and happy. My LO was born 3365g but by 5 months was also 5.5kg. She couldn’t even double her birth weight (a milestone to hit at 4 months) by then despite me feeding on demand. But she was still growing and definitely healthy. Now she’s 7 months + and has put on more weight after starting solids. Haha. Looking back, there was really nothing to worry about. Not every baby puts on weight quickly or in the same way

One of my MILs friend visited our house last week to see our baby, I was quite offended when she made a comment that my baby was so "skinny", as a mom it kinda made me think if I'm feeding her well enough. Bub was healthy but a small baby when she was born and every TCU I always check with the doctor if her BMI is normal. She's gaining normally though. Anyone facing the same situation here?

Just let it be...most of the time it’s just a casual remark and they mean no harm, just like how friends comment on your body size too.

Baby refusing breast

Help! My baby has been acting weird since we send her for vaccination last feb 17, she became crankier, doesn't sleep well at night and taking only short naps (max 15mins each) in the day. Because of that it's so difficult to feed her, she will fuss for hours while arching her back and refusing my breast when I offer even if she's due for feed. I can only feed her when she's really sleepy. I dont know what to do ?

Don’t give up. They will become crankier after vaccine. And it takes a few days to adjust back to their normal actions

My LO is 2 month's old, just wondering what time you all bathe your babies, mine is before her sleeping schedule, 6-7pm.. not sure if it's too late or timing still OK, i used to bathe her in the morning but i found out that she sleeps longer at night whenever i shower her during this time.. thanks
