NSD recovery, backbone ache

Hello, cat 1,2,5 here, 40yo,gave birth sa first baby via nsd last sep 22. Baby was at 2.29g and 41cm. Praise God and thanks din sa group na to. My concern is, up to now masakit parin ang tailbone ko and if nakaupo, ung feeling ng ccrack/pumuputok. Nag pahilot nako 4x and massage 2x. Nagpa xray na rin ako and ok naman result, nagpa massage 2x na rin. Niresetahan na rin ako ng neurobin ng OB for nerves daw. Meron din ba na same experience like mine? Ano ginawa nyo? Medyo limited tuloy movements ko dahil sa sakit at takot na ma mali ang galaw ko. Thanks in advance.

Uy mama, that tailbone pain sounds really frustrating especially ngayon na ilang months na since your NSD, a few of us here din nag-experience ng similar nagging pain after birth, kaya alam ko how limiting it feels. Since nagpa-xray ka na and okay ang result, at may neurobin na from your OB, siguro it's healing pero just take time pa, pero if it's still nakakaworry ka or hindi improving, better ask your OB ulit or maybe refer ka sa physio specialist para ma-check proper positioning at movements. In the meantime, the moms I know who had this eventually got better with continued stretching (very gentle lang!), proper sitting posture, at avoiding prolonged sitting, some swore by alternating hot and cold pads. Wishing you relief soon mama, hopefully by next few months okay na!

Underweight Baby

Hello po, meron ba dito na nanganak pero under wgt si baby? Kamusta naman pagpapalaki sa labas? Mag 37 wks na ko this friday, last ultsd ko at 35wk 6days,nasa 2.1. Kgs lang sya (+/-320). BPS naman nya 10/10. Do I need to worry? RID cat 1, 2,5bpala ako. Thanks

Ay mama, I understand the worry pero 2.1kg sa 35 weeks ay okay pa naman, maraming babies ang ganyan at lumalaki pa ng malaki sa last few weeks ng pregnancy, lalo na if baby's BPS ay 10/10 which is great! A few of my mum friends had smaller babies on ultrasound pero normal delivery na naman at lumaki ng maayos after birth, kaya hindi ka nag-iisa dito. Best mo talaga bantayan closely with your OB since you're so close na sa delivery, they might want to monitor more frequently or do another ultrasound to check baby's growth, especially since you're RID, pero huwag mag-stress masyado dahil ang BPS score ay very reassuring.

Salabat for pregnant

Safe po ba uminom ng salabat ang pregnant? Nabasa ko kasi sa Google, might cause miscarriage or blood clotting if in high doses. Thanks

Honestly, ginger (salabat) in normal amounts is usually fine during pregnancy, a lot of us mums actually drink it for morning sickness, pero since you've read about the high-dose concerns, mas safe na i-check lang with your OB to be sure, especially if you're planning to drink it regularly. Better safe than sorry talaga, especially ngayon na pregnant ka pa lang, kaya go get that peace of mind from your doctor na!

Naninigas na tiyan

Good eve. 14 wks here,1st time mom to be. Is it normal na pag busog or madaming lakad, naninigas ang upper womb? Thanks

Hindi po lalo na 14 weeks ka pa po, punta po kayo sa OB niyo po para mabigyan kayo ng pang pakapit.

Uy, mama, brown discharge in early pregnancy can be normal pero kailangan mo talaga makonsulta ng doctor ASAP, hindi ako dapat mag-guess about this one, okay? It could be something harmless like old blood, pero especially with any cramping or heaviness, akyatin mo na ang clinic or go to emergency para peace of mind mo. A few of us mums have been through brown spotting din, and honestly, ang best advice I got was don't wait, better safe than sorry sa early weeks. Salamat and sending you baby dust!
