Any good childcare recommendations around Tampines?

My girl's preschool is closing down soon so I'm scrambling to find vacancy in a good preschool in Tampines. She'll be N2 in 2019. Looking around Tampines Central and Tampines West areas but open to other Tampines areas too. Any good recommendations?

You may wish to bring your child along as you look for a suited place. And observe your child as she explores the place. And that might help you to choose the one that suits your child.

Downtime at night

My son takes a really long time to sleep despite having a set routine of him playing his toys, shower time, milk and getting into bed We can be in bed and all tucked in at 10pm and he’ll only fall asleep at like 12am earliest. If I start our bedtime at 9pm, he continues to stay awake until 12am or fastest 11.30pm Is there a way I can shorten this window?

Toddler 19 months speech

Hi all, my toddler says 1 word like papa , mama, milk, eat , dog, rabbit but still limited. People around me say her speech is limited compared to her peers. Is it something to worry about? At what age do toddlers say more words? #firstmom #firsttimemom

my younger started talking more than 1 or 2 words after 3yo... i insisted for referral from polyclinic to kkh although the doctor & nurse assured it was nothing to worry about... before the appt, my LO started yakking away & so talkative thereafter... i wish he could b quieter 😅 if u r concerned, can seek referral to speech therapist :)

Milk for 4 year old

What brand of packet milk do kids almost 4yrs old take? My kid has been on toddler formula and prefers the bottle. His school is weaning all the kids off milk bottle and requested parents to let kids drink milk from a packet. I have a feeling he just prefers the bottle for milk rather than in a packet. He drinks ribena from a packet and can drink water from a cup but just refuses to drink milk from a straw, packet or cup. Any suggestions welcome!

Should I have a 2nd child?

Hi Mummies, I’m thinking of having a 2nd child but my LO is now 2yo and he is so active. Especially love to jump about and even loves to jump on me when I am lying down. As we co sleep. I am just thinking how can I cope if I am pregnant. Any mummies can share their experience?

Any wise words from any parents here about not feeling so stressed when our toddlers are so fussy with food ? I'm very stressed up .. to a point of feeling depression when my 23 months old is so picky with food ! Every time I try to offer him food , he will be so picky . Plus he can't chew that well too , so I'm feeling very stressed and worried :(

Any bed guard to recommend for baby cot? size is 1.2m long, mattress height is 10cm

Hmm, the snippets I have don't give a super clean match for a 1.2m cot specifically, so I'd be cautious recommending something that might not fit right. That said, someone in my mum group mentioned AiHome bed rails, they're designed for local Singapore and Malaysia bed sizes rather than the longer European 2.0m beds, so the fit tends to be better than generic imports. Worth checking whether they have a size that suits a 1.2m cot, since the rail length and mattress height both matter for a secure fit at 10cm. Might be good to measure and confirm with the seller before committing, just to be safe.
