Challenges of travelling to SPED school

My spouse and I are anticipating challenges when our child attends school at EDEN bukit batok. Both of us are working and we are trying to work out how to bring our child home (in the east). Do any parents encounter the same challenges and what solutions were you able to employ?

Hi there, There’s really not many options to work around it. Either you pick a school closer to you like St Andrew’s or Metta School, or you could consider moving to the west since your child is likely to be at Eden for the next 10-11 years? Commuting is going to be tiring for both you and your child. At least if you’re closer, you could employ a helper to assist you with picking your child up from school. Hope you find a solution!

2yo face masks

#pleasehelp #advicepls any suggestions on which type of face mask your toddler child (2yo or more) is using? How do you ensure the masks that you are using are safe and legit? There are so many types online.

Face masks with multiple layers of fabric are fine for most people to wear. 3 ply is good. Try to find the right size for your child's face. Adult masks are usually 6x12 inches, and even a child-sized 5x10 inch covering may be too large for small children. Subsidise from EDCA

Hi, has anyone has the same issue as me? My girl went back to school last month, however the school did not deduct the subsidise from the school fees. Admin told us that they will deduct July and Aug subsidise in Aug sch fees. However, the school only deduct 1 month subsidise instead of 2 months subsidise

Then you need to give admin a call and remind her that there was suppose to be 2 months subsidy. You should get an explanation.

Punggol Kindergarten waitlist?

Hi, I have been told of the need to be kiasu and register kid to queue in waitlist esp. punggol areas due to high density of young families. My friend experienced 5 years of queuing before getting placement. That was back in mid 2010s. Is this still the situation currently?
