About 1st trimester

Guys, I heard during 1st trimester, u will be so exhausted, just want to eat and sleep. My question is when you're so tired and can't cook for 3 mths, what alternative is advice to get food for yourself, satisfying your cravings if needed. Especially when your partner is at work and you're alone at home and hungry!

Skin sensitive due to waterproof bandage ?

Skin extra dry and sensitive to touch after taking out csect waterproof bandage.

The skin under those waterproof bandages can get irritated and dry out from the adhesive, especially after a c-sect. Best to let the area breathe for now and mention it to your gynae or polyclinic doctor at your next follow-up, just to make sure the wound site is healing well.

Giving Birth as Private patient at NUH for Class A

Hi mummies , is there any mummies who gave birth at NUH before as a Private patient and take Class A? How much do you have to deposit?

From what I've heard, the deposit for NUH Class A private is around $5,000, and the final bill for a normal vaginal delivery with epidural tends to come out to roughly $9,000, $13,000 depending on your stay length and any complications. Do note the baby is billed separately, so factor in another $2,000 or so on top of that. C-section can go higher, somewhere in the $12,000, $15,000 range, so it's worth checking with the NUH billing counter directly for a proper estimate before your delivery date.

Incase anything just buy to protect ownself and baby. usually range $400-500+ protection upon birth till 3yrs.

Hello, im 18 weeks 3 days pregnant and currently having a mild fever and sore throat.. work in a clinic asked for my doctor for medication eg lozenges, fever med.. but was told the medication at work is not suitable for pregnant lady.. what should i do? Do i go for other gp clinic??? Whole body is aching ?

There is no medication allowed for a pregnant woman except paracetamol. Other than that ( if you have any medical problems, you will be supplied with your medication according to your situation and under monitored by your doctor). If you just having fever, sore throat, flu, just take paracetamol and do not exceed the normal strength and if can only take if you really need it. Drink plenty of water and eat healthy food

Swelling lower abdoment after csect

Anyone experience like swelling (hard and painful when press/touch) at your lower abdomen, from above incision to lower tummy. Mine only affects the right to middle part, left side feels normal. And when walking also feel moderate pain. Wonder if im the only one experiencing this, 3 weeks pp now 😣

That kind of localised swelling and pain on one side at 3 weeks post-op is something your doctor really needs to look at in person, since it could be a number of things that need proper assessment. Please don't wait too long and go see your gynae or head to KKH soon, just to be safe.
