Baby underweight

Im at week 34 now and my baby weight is 1.92kg. How do i increase her weight?

When i was at my 34 weeks my baby weight is 1.9 kg too. And as per doctor this is quite normal. You can try taking more calcium, healthy and multiple small meals.

Braxton Hicks or RLP?

24 weeks pregnant. Sometimes when I do housework, I feel like one of my sides will cramp up and tummy will feel very tight. It will last less than 5 mins and it will dissipate. I will need to sit down and relax/calm myself. Is that Braxton Hicks or round ligament pain?

KKH Gyne recommendations

Hi mummies, I need recommendations for gyne with excellent suturing skills, steady and professional from KKH. My previous gyne was Prof John Tee. Imo, he is the best. I had a high risk pregnancy but he made it as smooth as possible. He did my amniocentesis and delivered my baby in a 26 hours induced labour safely and I recovered well. During such procedures, he was both professional and caring at the same time. My experience at KKH was excellent. Unfortunately, I couldn't get him this time as he is not taking in new cases. 😭

Aww I totally understand your frustration because when you find a good gynae you really don't want to let go one! I also delivered at KKH and I can recommend Dr Chua Shi Yin and Dr Serene Thain, both also very professional and got good bedside manner, many mummies in my group also gave good feedback about them. Maybe you can try to get a referral or call KKH directly to ask which senior consultants are taking new cases, and also ask specifically about their experience with high risk pregnancies since your situation needs someone really experienced lah!

Choose your pregnancy footwear! 👞

Each pair of footwear should be comfortable and breathable during pregnancy. The soles should be soft and flexible and have a good deal of arch support! 😃

A few of us mums were just talking about this recently, and the general consensus was that supportive sandals or slip-ons work really well because your feet tend to swell as the pregnancy progresses. One of my mum friends swears by Birkenstocks during her second and third trimester because the arch support is really good and they are easy to slip on without bending down. I personally stuck to cushioned flat sneakers for days when I needed to walk more, like at the wet market or during checkups at the polyclinic. The key thing we all agreed on is to avoid anything with a heel or a stiff sole lah, your feet and back will thank you later.

A few of us mums were just talking about this the other day, and we all agreed that comfort really is the top priority, especially in the third trimester when feet start swelling. Look for something with good arch support and soft, flexible soles so your feet are not aching by end of day. One of my mum friends swore by her Birkenstocks throughout her pregnancy because they were breathable and easy to slip on without bending down too much. Sandals with adjustable straps are great too since your feet size can change as the months go by lah.
