Who’s fasting at 30 weeks?

What did your gynae tell you about fasting during this month? Anyone fasting at 30 weeks? Mine says it’s fine to fast if I can take it, but sometimes me and my husband get worried for the baby. What about you?

My first pregnancy here, at 36 weeks and fasting since day 1. Just give it a few days of fasting to see how your body copes. If you’re fine, then just continue to do so unless if your gynae said not to.

Adducted / half-clasped thumbs detected at 20 weeks

Hi mamas, I just did my 20 weeks scan today and the docs detected that our baby can't open fully his thumbs during the almost-two hour session. This is apparently a pretty rare condition. We were advised to do further CMA / WES genetic testing. Naturally we're now very worried... Has anyone experienced this before?

Hi mum, getting unexpected news at the 20-week scan must have been really overwhelming. I think it’s good the doctors are recommending further testing, and you can also ask for a referral to KKH or NUH fetal medicine for more specialised advice and clearer next steps.

Need shopping recommendation!

Hi mummies, I am currently on week 22. Most of my clothes and bra cannot be worn anymore as it is too small. I bought dress with 1-2 size bigger a month ago but now it becomes tight already. Please let me know where do u usually buy maternity clothes, maternity bra and maternity sportswear! Thank youuuu

Is it recommended to start pumping 1 week before giving birth?

You can hand express and collect the collustrum but check with your gynae on this

KKH subsidised patient

Hello mommies Anyone with experience at KKH subsidised? Will doc be randomly assign to help you deliver? I understand that every visit is a different doc. How will we know who deliver for you nearer to your EDD? I realised all my lab request, the consultant is the same person though I’ve seen different doctor every visit. #advicepls #firsttimemom

Gave birth under KKH subsidy. No doc was with me, but a mid wife. She was the one who helped with the delivery. The doc only came at times to check the dilation etc.

So im almost done with my first trimester!!! Honestly since the time I found out I was pregnant and did my checkups.. I had no morning sickness… neither strong cravings or nausea.. everything has been in generally normal, besides just the fatigue that can be overcome with afternoon naps… Still doing my normal yoga classes, stop my spinning classes that I go frequently but dr said after first tri, I can go back to spinning. Most importantly to listen to your body. Was just wondering if its true that if I finish first trimester easily, The rest of the time during my pregnancy, itll be easy? Some people tell me if its a good first tri, it might be also a girl 🤣 dont know how true

Mine also no nausea and also ger!

16 weeks & covid +

16 weeks now & ive been having covid since last few days. The first 2 days i was having a very high fever of 38.9. However now the symptoms are more mild more to sorethroat, coughing and normal flu. Anyone caught covid while pregnant, is my baby doing fine in there ? 🥺 Im very worried for my baby. My next kkh appt with my gynae will only be in early May. #firsttimemom

I was C+ during first trimester. Gynae said it’s ok and my baby was born healthy. Wishing you a speedy recovery!

Gestational Diabetes

Hi mummies,, this is my first time having this in my pregnancy. Mummies who hv experience it? What should I do? As I Google,, during childbirth might hv complication,, and baby also will hv high sugar in blood..

i had GB during pregnancy i tried as much to control my sugar intake plus walking before and after meals helps a lot.

tired all the time

Im at week 25 but been constantly feeling very tired and sometimes difficulties in sleeping doesnt help much. Is there any kind of energy booster?
