Work from home or office when pregnant?

Hi all I’m currently 16 weeks pregnant and was wondering if fellow pregnant ladies have requested to wfh throughout their pregnancy to minimise risk of Covid? My job allows me to wfh but since govt increased wfo quota to 75%, most of my colleagues have been back in office. Is this a reasonable request? So far have your bosses agreed to it? Thanks!

Absent nasal bone

Did my FTS and doc said she can't see the baby's nasal bone so my risk is increased to high risk. NT is 2.40mm and everything's normal. Any mummies with baby's late developing nasal bone or absent nasal bone? I need some information here so badly I cant stop thinking for the worse. I have done harmony ytd so I need to wait for 2 weeks 😭

Bird nest with ginseng and rock sugar

Hello mummies! I’m currently in my week 13. My PIL just bought a carton of New Moon Bird Nest with American Ginseng and Rock Sugar for me… but I’ve done some reading which says that ginseng is not recommended during pregnancy. Am wondering if it is safe for me to consume? Thinking the ginseng content may not be high in such drinks, but I’m still a little sceptical as it is my first pregnancy. Appreciate any kind advice, thank you!

Gynae experience at KKH? - Dr Serena Koh

Hi, I’m currently getting my checkups done at KKH. I may be switching to private (still KKH) but am not sure which gynae to take. My first ever appt after poly referral was with Dr Serena Koh (associate consultant) and she left a good impression on me. Was wondering if anyone is currently seeing her or has had experiences with having your child delivered by her? Thanks!

Yesterday I went for my check up,, and gynea let me know that I had low laying placenta,, anyone experienced it before and manage to gave birth via normal ??? Should I be worried if I have low laying placenta??

The COVID-19 Mama Dilemma

Hey fellow mamas, Being in the midst of a pandemic, and being encouraged by WHO, CDC and our MOH to take the vaccine, we can’t avoid this hot topic can we. Whether we’re in the middle of our pregnancy or breastfeeding journey, the aching and nagging question that we face (since Pfizer and Moderna have been made more readily available) - To vax or not to vax? I’m not going to flood this post with readings from creditable sources as I’m sure many of you have done your due diligence. I respect parents a lot because of the readings they plough through (despite already busy schedules) and the reviews they scour, advice they sought just to make the best decision for themselves and their families. I felt I had to write this post because, well, it’s been my mind for a while and hopefully it will resonate with some of you out there. I’ve always believed there’s always a negative to a positive - I’m sure many of you have already laid your hands on some articles which have proven that the vaccine isn’t for everyone and that there certainly are side effects. There’s also this struggle about being a socially responsible citizen - I mean, I’m sure no one wants to be part of the problem and everyone wants to put this damn virus to rest - the sooner the better. I think there’s a need for affirmations, for support - to tell our mamas (and perhaps partners alike) that whatever their choice is, it’s okay because it’s their decision. No one else has to be okay with it but you. You are htrying to do right by your family and as long as you do what your gut tells you, you can sleep better at night and be at peace with yourself which is what I’ve ever wished for anyone. So I’m gonna be bold and, I’m speaking to all the parents out there who are trying to do right by their children and make a decision - you do YOU. Whatever works and makes you feel good. Because at the end of the day, the decision is yours to make. As long as you’ve been informed, weighed all your options. , and you are not making a choice out of coercion, you’re doing well and you’re being an awesome individual and parent. Pregnant & covid positive

Im currently 15 weeks pregnant and just tested positive covid. What should i do ? Do i go to normal GP? Other than panadol is there any other medicine that is safe for pregnancy? Most importantly will it affect my baby? Currently my symptom is body ache, coughing and sore throat. #firsttimemom #advicepls
