Is it better to get the maternity package instead of ala carte package at Thomson?

What do you wear for gynae visits?

This might sound silly but as our bellies grow bigger, it seems hard to find skirts that can accommodate the increasing size? Any ideas? Instead of dress then have to lift up the dress to scan 😅#firsttimemom

I wear loose dresses that is easy to lift up

Brown discharge

Has anyone experienced brown discharge, cramp, fatigue and thought it might be due to an onset of period. But realised it was implantation bleeding and tested positive later? How long did the cramp and discharge last?

My menses were irregular n did not suspect i was pregnant for my #1. And becoz i smtimes will hv brown discharge for few days then ok so i tot menses came. Turn out that period prob was implantation. I cant rmb if i had cramps thou.

Health Supplements

Just found out that i am pregnant - currently in my 6 weeks! First gynae appointment will be 2 weeks later, meanwhile i am not sure if i should get some health supplements from local drugstore or should i wait for gynae to prescribe. Any suggestions?

Gynae will mostly prescribe you folic

Postpartum home clothes

FTM here, usually what home clothes do you use when youre back home from delivery and all the way till your confinement ends ? Do you still stick to your normal tshirt & pants? Do we necessarily need to use long sleeve top & pants during confinement ? Since singapore weather can be really heaty Or just dress normally like how we usually do at home #advicepls #firsttimemom

Is bloatedness and no appetite start of morning sickness?

Currently pregnant at 6 weeks going 7. Been feeling very bloated and no appetite. Whenever I eat something I feel full very easily. Is this the start of morning sickness? For my first pregnancy I had bad morning sickness starting from 5 weeks. This time round just nausea but no vomiting. Gynae prescribed some med for stomach wind. Any mummies experiencing this during 2nd pregnancy?

Which national health group polyclinics offer scans? The Geylang clinic doesn’t have this service. But I read their website that they do antenatal services.

nope they refer u to hospital. long time ago yes they did this service now no more already.

Implantation bleeding vs pre menstrual discharge

Hi guys, is there a way to know the diff between implantation discharge vs pre menstrual discharge? Does implantation discharge gets darker and darker in terms of color?

no can’t tell unfortunately. my implantation bleeding was light brown.

Subsidised to private

How many weeks before you tried to change? Do the gynaes accept? Im considering subsidised route for first 2 terms to save some cost.

Which hospital are you at? For KKH, you may choose your gynae first and then call up to book your private appmt. If i am not wrong, as long as its below 30 weeks, gynae will accept you.. then you may continue with subsidised for the weeks before your private appmt. For NUH, they have a private package for 22weeks onwards.
