Bad skin during trimester 2

Wonder if it’s ok to see a dermatologist for my peeling skin during trimester 2. It’s not that obvious but bad enough for me to not be able to apply make up and people can tell my skin is bad when I put on make up 😭😭😭 helpppp I need makeup to go to work .. without makeup and the lousy skin , I don’t feel confident and happy at all 😭😭😭

Of course it’s ok to go see a derm if you need to. Just tell the derm you’re expecting and they’ll provide the right medication as required.

Lower tummy skin painful to touch

I went thru csect 3 weeks ago and after removing the waterproof bandage, around a week after discharge i noticed that the skin around the area that the waterproof bandage was placed on, is painful to touch. Not sure if because the doctor that open the bandage was rough and caused the skin to be painful? Anyone experience the same ? But also the inside of my lower tummy is sore so not sure if thats the reason

But also the inside of my lower tummy is sore so not sure if thats the reason Health Three weeks post-C-sect, some tenderness around the wound area is still pretty normal, but since you're feeling soreness both on the skin surface and inside, it's worth getting your gynae or PD to take a look just to be safe. Don't leave it too long, better to have it checked and rule out anything like an infection or fluid buildup underneath.

Did you buy different brands of milk bottles for newborn?

So far I have 2 pigeon and 1 tommee tippie, was thinking if I should get avent also?

I use only one brand which is Philip Avent but different type. From the Classic change to Anti Colic.

Kotex overnight panties post csection

Do you wear kotex overnight panties post csection when back home ? Is it painful when it touches your incision.

i wore diapers (that kind of kotex overnight panties) and i'd still prefer maternity pads especially the first 6 weeks as it's thicker and it's not as painful when you stand & sit down.

Private follow up, kkh delivery

Hi there. Anyone did a private fu with gynae and delivered only at kkh due to cost? May I check how you guys went about it? Thanks in advance!

From what I've heard, quite a few mums do exactly this, see a private gynae for follow-ups but deliver at KKH under the hospital's own doctors to keep costs down. The trade-off is that you won't have your own gynae with you during delivery, so whoever is on call at KKH will handle it, which some mums are completely fine with and others find a bit unsettling. For ward costs, a normal vaginal delivery at KKH can range quite a bit depending on your ward choice, B1 tends to be more affordable and fully Medisave-claimable for the stay, while A1 can still be covered by Medisave up to the limits but may have additional out-of-pocket if you add epidural or other interventions. My neighbour delivered at KKH this way and said the care was solid, though she did have to make peace with not knowing which doctor would be there on the day. Overall it's a reasonable approach if budget is the priority, just go in with realistic expectations about the delivery experience itself.

Why not? If you’re confident with the product. Just do the allergy test by applying it to a small area of skin first.

Feel like organ falling out post birth

Is it normal even after few weeks of birth, your lower tummy is heavy and feels like your inside organ is falling down when not using binder. #Csection #firsttimemom

No appetite post partum

Is it normal to have very little appetite post partum esp when youre a first time mum going thru emotional roller coaster/post partum blues

My appetite was not great either during pp.. I guess there were too many worries and things on my mind that I didn’t feel like eating.

Birth control option

What birth control are you using and whats the side effect. I just went thru a traumatic birth and csect, would want to not get pregnant for atleast 2 years. And wonder which birth control has the least side effect

Nausea and not wanting to eat

Hi pregnant mummies, do you all experience nausea but don't feel like eating? Currently 10w pregnant and symptoms have been bad. #pleasehelp #advicepls #firsttimemom

9w FTM here and facing the same issue. Already lost 3kg so far, I just eat very slowly and small portions.
