GD Test results

This is my GD test. I got an asterisk at the last test at 2h. I guess I am GD positive now. Will Gynae asked me to do the 7 pricks a day or insulin injection? I'm anxious to receive the call this week from Kkh. Would want to prepare myself mentally. 😔

If I remember correctly KKH recommended for two consecutive days of finger prick tests only. For my experience then, i requested for more regularly tracking so I did this daily and took Metformin but don't have to do insulin jabs.

Stomach making gurgling/growling noises as if I’m hungry but I’m not.. Is it normal? Week 33 FTM

These days I observed that my stomach kept making growling / gurgling noises (as if when hungry or stomach is empty pre-pregnancy) even though I am totally not feeling hungry.. I’m also super gassy, keeps burping out gas. Even if I say it’s due to a heavy lunch, it definitely lasted all the way into the night. The last I experienced this was in first trimester when I barely had any appetite and the interval between my meals were prolonged.. so maybe that was really due to stomach acid. And usually after having the meal I’ll be ok. now that I’m in 3rd tri Week 33, I’ve regained normal appetite and kept to regular 3 meals a day. Wonder why it still happened.. is the baby ok etc Anybody experienced the same?

Totally normal at week 33, your uterus has grown so big it's pressing on your intestines, which slows everything down and causes all that gurgling, gas, and burping. My friend who just delivered her second said the same thing happened to her in the third trimester and her gynae told her it's just the digestive system getting squished and sluggish, nothing to worry about. Eating smaller, more frequent meals instead of three big ones can help reduce the gassy feeling. That said, do flag it to your gynae or midwife at your next visit just to be sure, especially since you're a FTM, always better to hear it directly from your own doctor.

Is it a norm to test for iron level around wk 24 to 28?

Yes it’s normal. The doc ask me to take, so I just take. I don’t know if it’s optional or not

Pregnant (2-3) on test kit but unsure of pregnancy after scanning..could it be ectopic ?

LMP was 8th feb 2024 with 37days cycle

What do you mean unsure of pregnancy after scanning? What do you see in the ultrasound scan? I once came in too early to the clinic and can’t see anything not even water sac, so doc ask me to test HCG level (by blood) to confirm. After seeing water sac, also cannot confirm viability of pregnancy yet until you hear a heartbeat, which is week 7-8. Hope this helps. Also, this Clearblue pregnancy test indicating the weeks is not accurate, esp for ppl like me and you whose period is not regular 28 days.

Sick and fever for 4 consecutive days

It's the 4th day I'm feeling very weak and sick but I can't take anymore sick leave becos I had used up all. I don't want to take annual leave as it is just the beginning of my second trimester and long way to go. So I wanna save my leave for medical appts. Should I go to A&E? Will they give me HL instead? I'm really really very sick

Hi sweetheart. Even if you go hosp, they wont give you HL, unless youre admitted. You can try to be admitted though, so that you can take HL. All the best. 🤍

FTM travelling in 2nd trimester

I’m a FTM and will be going to Seoul for the first time while 5 months pregnant. Does anyone have recommendations suitable for pregnant mummy to go to? Also wondering if it’s suitable to go to everland/lotte to accompany my friends (won’t be playing rides but can look at animals?) ?

You can go to Namsan Tower! And it's alright to look at the animals as long as you don't touch them and wear a mask. You never know what is in the air! Also remember to get compression socks for the flight.

Sleepy 3rd trimester (29 weeks)

Just entered my 3rd trimester and I’m extremely sleepy throughout the day. Any mummies feel me? 😭

I'm in my third trimester and at night I can't sleep usually I sleep in the morning or afternoon

29 weeks, feels like baby is trying his best to stretch my tummy bigger

I feel so stretched, people think I am about to give birth although I am only 29 weeks along. At the way baby is stretching and kicking, I feel like he might be claustrophobic inside. Anyone else having an uber active baby like mine? #1stimemom #firstbaby #pregnancy

Your baby is healthy. that is why he/she is active.
