Hi mummies, I just delivered March this year and was hoping to have my 2nd one next year.. I just tested positive on the pregnancy test and am almost 7 wks pregnant. I was wondering if its necessary to go for 6-8 wks appointment? Can I wait till I'm 12 wks? I'm seeing the same gynae.. so she already knows my history. Nothing that will affect my pregnancy.

Is it better to be a subsidised or private patient at KKH? Im currently a private patient.. Was thinking of downgrading but not too sure if i should do so. Anybody has any experience to share? Thanks.

My friend was a private n sub patient at KKH before for her 2 preg. She shared that there was a difference in treatment from the nurses due to the different grade. Nurses will pay more attention to the private patients as compared to the sub rate. She didnt like the treatment in sub room (buzz for long time then nurse came, food wasnt serve promptly, etc). Hence for her 2nd preg, she opted for private and was treated so much better. You might want to ask more mummies if they have similar experiences.

Hi, anyone went through natural delivery without taking epidural? I am not taking epidural but open to laughing gas and injection in thigh as the 2 options for pain relief. Mind to share how the contractions feel like? This is my first pregnancy and I can take mentration pain but not needle pain.

When your mind and body works in harmony, you feel only pressure, pulling up sensation, tightening and menstrual cramp. That's what many mothers feel if she is not fearful. It is her fear that causes muscles tension and hence pain. It is best learn relaxation techniques and join prenatal classes such as HypnoBirthing natural childbirth classes or prenatal yoga to prepare for the big day. All the best.

I'm 32 weeks now and gynae jus scanned ytd that my baby is in breech position. he advised to tap tummy before slp to change the position. otherwise when he gets bigger difficult to shift and by the time deliver cannot by natural but by c-sect which I dun want...:( anyone with similar experience?

You must contact your obstetrician about the boil. It may be nothing, but you must report it.

Just curious. How u prepare for second pregnancy after having 6 mth old child and Emergency C Section??

I would propose speaking to your doctor before trying. One of my cousins wanted to try but her doctor advised her to wait at least a year (best if she could wait 18 months) before trying again so that her body has ample time to heal.
