Anyone gave birth at Mt E Novena?Can share your experience? Heard the nurses there not so experience etc. I'm considering btw Novena and Mt Alvernia.

Mt A is very pro breastfeed and the support from lactation consultants are good

If i get a referral from polyclinic to kkh, can i choose a senior midwife or gynae for c sect op during delivery? Will all be charged as privatr rate? Pls advise. Thks

once a subsidised patient, you can not choose. unless u chose to take pvt rate.

Labour length and when does it go to c-sec?

How long were you in labour for? Would I have to do c-sect if my labour exceeds 15 hours?

For me natural birth, on 31st August around 2.30pm i am 3cm dilated and 11.30pm 4cm dilated, i had contraction it got worse till i had epidural and at 8am gynae came into birth room she told me baby head is coming out, 8.18am baby is out. I took 9 minutes

Can I drink decaf lattes over my usual regular latte? I work in a coffee shop kinda normal to be drinking them.

I would say drink whatever you want mummy unless you are BF?

I'm in second trimester. I like to sleep a lot. How about you guys?

aah that pleasurable period wen u still can sleep as much as u want... please sleep. Its your body's way of telling you that it needs rest. with so many changes happening in your body it's natural to be exhausted. just speak to ur doc to see if u need any other multivitamins or such.

I delivered 4 months back and I still feel a sort of painful pull in my vaginal area. It happens sometimes when I get up or am standing. Is this doctor or should I consult a doctor immediately?

Please go to the gp and raise your concerns to be on a safer side.

How do you feel when you know you're pregnant for the first time?

Extremely happy but worried at the same time wishing the baby to arrive safe, happy, and complete to world as 9 months are not short.

I'm week29+, EDD in sept 2016. Been experiencing sudden shortness of breath and dizziness. Tried 2 methods. (1) Inhale through nose and exhale from mouth deeply (2) Inhale and exhale from mouth Both methods didn't work well for me. Anyone out there experience the same stuff? Need to inform gynae about it?

During pregnancy, there is an increase of blood supply and at times, your body might not be able to keep up and pump blood fast enough to your brain, which can leave you feeling dizzy and faint. Other factors can contribute, too, including anemia, low blood sugar levels, intolerance for heat and standing up too quickly. You should definitely let your doctor know if it gets too much to handle. Take care!
