Baby neck thickness

I had Oscar & NIPT test today, after detailed scanning my gynae told me my baby's neck thickness of 4.1 is above average of 2.5 so she advised me to forgo the NIPT test since it only test for down syndrome and to proceed with amnio test instead. Couldn't stop crying as I'm so worried for my baby and decide to follow gynae's advice. The 5 tubes of blood for NIPT have to be discarded. Anyone have done amnio test before? Can advise how it's like? Will it be painful? And how was your test result? #1stimemom #advicepls

Not painful, like an injection. Lasted 2 mins. try to relax after that. Hope all is well for u

Difference between prenatal supplement and maternal milk

Came across maternal milk and wondering if there's a need to take both maternal milk and prenatal supplement. Or is one better than the other? Thanks!

Maternal milk is additional to help baby gain weight at last trimester

Cold sweat, panting, pulse sensation

Week 15+5 now. Nausea came back again this week after taking a break for 1 week, super horrible. Recently having cold sweats easily especially when I’m standing (q-Ing for food / waiting for bus) sometimes seeing stars, and almost blackout a few times. Recently also easily panting after walking short distance and feeling the pulsing sensation on the back of left head while sleeping. #advicepls #worried

Hi mummy, I also had blacking of vision and sweating symptoms a few times when I queue up, and then had one fainting episode. Went to see GP and gynae who both said it is due to pregnancy related hormones that slow down our blood flow back to the brain, hence we cannot stand too long without moving. Please check with your gynae too and be careful!

Chai bo ok to eat

Really wanted to eat chwee kueh with lots of chai bo. But resisted cause my mum say chai bo will reverse the effect of medication. Is it true?#pregnancy #firstbaby #advicepls

I craved for chwee kueh and ate quite alot. No problem so far. 32 weeks now. Just eat moderately cos it's salty.

36 weeks 5 days.

Doctor says from my stomach it seems the baby is at a small size. His weighing at 2.5kg at the moment. And I'm scheduled to have another scan the week after. Seems it's neither too big or small? But why am i worrying?

Diarrhoea during first trimester

Hi mummies, im in my first trimester..due to bad nausea and loss of appetite, i have been drinking isotonic drinks like h20 or pocari sweat as i cant stand drinking water. However, i have been having diarrhea quite frequently. Im not sure if it is cuz of my daily intake of isotonic drinks or other reasons. Is it safe to drink isotonic drinks on a daily and frequent basis?

6 weeks with lil red blood. Normal?

Currently week 6 and have yet to meet gynae but have met GP, waiting for ultrasound scan in 5 days. However, been getting brown spotting for the past 5 days. The 6th day, saw a small red blood clot with no cramps. When to check to check test kit, still +ve. In the late evening, after much laughter, another 1 liner of red blood was seen in my panty liner. Again, no cramps. Any idea if things are well?
