Braxton Hicks or RLP?

24 weeks pregnant. Sometimes when I do housework, I feel like one of my sides will cramp up and tummy will feel very tight. It will last less than 5 mins and it will dissipate. I will need to sit down and relax/calm myself. Is that Braxton Hicks or round ligament pain?

NUH delivery fee (Private patient, natural birth)

Has anyone given birth at NUH under the private route recently? May I know what the total delivery and hospital charges for natural birth is like?

I was induced and had a 4d3n stay. Only changed to private the day I admitted. Total $13K but $7K cash. I took Prof Citra! 2024! Natural birth

Fungal infection

Hi! This is my 2nd pregnancy and i'm experiencing fungal infection down there, it's really very itchy and i'm trying my best to not scratch myself. I don't experience this for my first so this is my first time having it the whole of my life. I know this is somewhat quite normal but i just want to check if anyone here had back-to-back recurring infection? I just completed 6 days of canesten pessary last week and the infection came back again this week and i'll be on another round of the pessary again 😭

Hey! I’m also pregnant and had a similar issue a few weeks ago, constant itching that just wouldn’t go away down there. My gynae, Dr Regina of GynaeMD Clementi, said it’s common during pregnancy and reminded me to stick to gentle hygiene habits and avoid anything scented down there. After following her advice and finishing the treatment, it finally settled down.

KKH blood transfusion

May I know the cost for blood transfusion admission in KKH? Gynecologist suggested to do 2 bags of blood based on my last blood test. Im under goverment subsidy patience.

Hi! Hope you are doing okay, going through this during pregnancy can be really worrying. Good news on the cost front. In Singapore, patients are actually not charged for the blood itself as blood donation here is voluntary and blood is not sold. What you will be paying for is the hospitalisation and the associated processing fees. A blood processing fee is charged for the collection, processing and testing of every unit of blood to ensure it is safe for transfusion, but the blood itself is not charged to the patient. As a subsidised patient at KKH, your overall bill will depend on your ward class and your per capita household income which determines your subsidy level. The actual admission charges covering the ward stay, nursing care, medication and procedures will be claimable through MediShield Life and Medisave, which should significantly reduce your out of pocket amount. For 2 bags of blood the procedure itself typically takes around 4 to 8 hours total so you may be looking at a day admission rather than an overnight stay, which keeps costs lower. My honest advice is to call KKH's billing counter directly before your admission and ask them for a cost estimate based on your subsidised status. They are generally helpful with this and can give you a clearer picture. You can also ask to speak with a Medical Social Worker at KKH if you have any financial concerns, they are there to help navigate exactly these situations. Ivf mum/ high risk mums!

Hello mummies, can you recommend a good Obgyn that is experienced in ivf mums / mums with high risks? I have conceived thru ivf (4th ivf!) and had 1 miscarriage before. Thus would like to know if any mummies with similar background can share with me about ur obgyn? Thank u!!
