My 4yr old son is sensitive..observant..inquisitive but aggressive. We try to handle his aggressiveness calmly but at times I do loose my cool as I am the one spending most time with him. On his cooling, I explain to him. He agrees ....but mostly its back to square one. I feel he is such cos he has not had kids around and gets jumbled up in excitement and expressing. But maybe I am biased being his mother. What troubles me more....gives me sleepless nights is when prople swuirm and mock us because of him. worst thing is that he catches their body language. just fyi, he enjoys and prefers older kids like 7years onwards and not his own or younger...sadly we do not get often. I think I will go into depression. thanks for reading this patiently.

If you have tried everything, then see a child psychologist. It is a kind of taboo in our society to see a psychologist but it is just a normal thing. my son is 10 years old, and kids of this age already dropped and grew most of their teeth. for my son, he has only dropped 8 of them (4 on top, 4 on the bottom), and for the top, only 2 of them grew out, and one of them grew on the gum. sk, anyone has kids who's teeth didn't grow nicely or still hasnt drop most of their teeth?

I still have 1 more milk tooth now. Last month i took out the other one. My milk tooth didn't drop because i didn't have adult tooth below that milk tooth. Dentist said it could happen, but rarely ( not to have some adult tooth below the milk tooth ). Maybe you should bring your son to the dentist & ask them about it & if he also don't have adult tooth below the milk tooth, it's best to take extra care of them, make them last as long as they can. If not if the tooth drops, it will affect their placing as there's a gap there. Teeth are line in a row, pushing against each other. So if it has a gap that is not gonna be fill up, it will make all the other teeth move out of place. & one fake tooth would cost $4000-$5000, medisave claimable $1200 only. Others is cash. It's painful. So my advise is to check properly with the dentist & if really no adult teeth below that's why his teeth not dropping, best to keep the milk teeth healthy & clean as long as he can.

I always say I reek of milk. And when I take Moringay leaves or fenugreek supplements, I can't stand my smell. haha.

Any parents work on Montessori at home? If yes, what kind of activities do you all practise? Do you have daily schedule?

I work on simple Montessori activities at home with my kids, when they are below 3-4 years old. Mostly on practical life, language, math, culture, DIY sensory materials and botany only. I am not trained in Montessori and thus I do not follow very strict curriculum but adopt the philosophies only (child's independent work and repetitive work). Normally I got my ideas from Montessori bloggers and purchase printable cards from www.montessoriprintshop.com for 3-parts cards. For my older child, who is 6 years old now, I use worksheets on her instead so to prepare her for primary level next year.

When it comes to involvement as a grandparent,how do you balance in laws vs your own parents? Is it fair to assume that whoever is not working has a greater responsibility?

We don't rely much on either in laws or parents. Agree with Yuna where we don't expect from them but we are grateful for any assistance offered

Confession: I am a dl sahm mum, sometimes I am so tired that i tend to lose my temper alittle on my baby at times :( I feel so lousy and bad and guilty thereafter. What should i do? It is really horrible losing temper at such an innocent being. I cant rest because there is no one to take over my motherly duties and I have to cover all my other chores when my baby is asleep. Cant afford a maid or part time cleaner as I am not working currently. Oh my, I really feel bad. I am a lousy mother. :(

I have been through a similar situation as you. Try to join some mom support group. It helps greatly having some other moms to share your problems with.

When you say aggressive, to what extent? Has he actually hurt another child? I would recommend signing him up for a sports activity where he can play rough but with control and rules. Sports can instill control and discipline, give him a space to unleash his energy but with boundaries. Perhaps rugby or a form of martial arts? I've heard so many stories of "aggressive" kids doing well in sports and learning to control their energies. As for the other parents, they are just being protective, albeit a bit too much, so just ignore them and focus on your son. Good luck!

Argh!!! My hair is Super falling. 3 months post partum. This is the amount of hair after one brush!! Pls help - I don't want to go bald

Agreed with others. It's the hormone. Will pass but you have to be patient. My hairfall started when baby about 3months old, and it went on for 3-4 months. Now baby is 8months old n my hair is back to normal.
