Hi, may I know whether can I put the car seat in my van front seat?

Wife Mood Swing

Fellow daddies, do your wife experience mood swings and pick on you over nitty gritty things such as how we care for babies and over household chores? Some days wife is in good mood, some days moody show me attitude or bad mood. Our baby daughter is 4 Months+ old, could it be mood swing resulting from take care of Baby day & night, not having enough sleep and stress from take care of Baby? Often I am said not helping enough and that she is doing all the stuff, I do help out 2 to 3 of the tasks but not all, sometimes after doing the chores if it's not up to her expectation also getting nagged. Whatever I do, it seems she is just not satisfied nor up to her expectation, then she would do that task herself and nag me again for not contributing enough. Seriously I don't know what to do but feel neglected as a hubby sometimes. Am I asking too much? Or I am just not doing enough as a hubby?

Suggestions to make Daddy more involved?

Hi Dads, do you have any suggestions to make daddies more involved in the LO’s life? My husband is lazy and hands off most of the time leaving everything to me and my helper and as a result my LO has rejected him till now at 18mths. I’m sick of this situation and need helpful suggestions please.

my bf was like that too. and i cried alot bc too tired. so one day i had enough and put baby right beside him and i slept somewhere else. so once baby cry, he no choice but to wake up and care for baby. ofc he will look for me but ill just ignore and be angry. I did felt sorry that I have to be that mean and left baby to cry for a bit before her daddy know what to do. but now he's more involved as ive started working back. maybr try talking to your husband abt it. if nothing work, actions it is. hehe jiayous mummy.

'Health professional' at polyclinic always say follow the packaging prescribe at the back of the milk tin, but that is just a guide. 'Health professional' at KKH say must always feed baby according to weight every 3 hours. But I feel this 'health professional' sucks. I feel that we should feed according to our baby calling because as parents we should know what is right and what is best for our baby. If you baby is hungry past the point, acid reflux may happen and it cause vomiting. This is why I feel like 'Health professional' from KKH and polyclinic are not really profession, if they are, they should know that every babies metabolism rate is different. Not all babies are the same. Am I right?

I believe they do know that every kid is different, but they can’t possibly tell every parent ambiguous statements like “give whatever amount you feel is right for your child”, so they can only give you standard guidelines. These guidelines are very helpful for parents/caregivers who have no idea how to begin, or who need specific instructions. It’s great that you are putting in effort to understand the individual needs of your child and adjusting accordingly:) At the same time, I hold the highest regard for healthcare professionals out there doing their best for their patients:)

Family & Life Thoughts

Ever since having our first child this year, I had a stronger desire to own a car for easier convenience and better comfort for my wife and my baby in say 3 to 5 years time. As with most middle income families whom are salaried employees, based ony wife and my combined income currently, to own a car, we both need to commit to continue working since buying a car will meant paying for car expenses for the next 10 years on top of our monthly expenditure. Just curious how many dads and first time parents out there have the same thought? This thought arise in me as I seen it is the case with most of my friends or colleagues, they often get a car for convenience and comfort for the sake of their wife and baby. Am I asking too much? All I hope and strive for is better convenience and comfort for my wife and baby as a family.

I do have a car, and it’s really a blessing and a convenience, especially with 2 kids. (Even when I had 1 kid, the car did help greatly). I think it’s perfectly fine to desire or aim to get a car for your family. This may mean rethinking through your finances with your wife.. how much you budget for other expenses and how much you save, etc. But if you feel it’s a worthy investment and both of you are in agreement, then go for it:) P.S. We also sometimes take the bus and train, so as to teach my preschooler about public transport, how to behave and what to do in the bus and train.. and she loves these “excursions” too:) -last time, of course.

Baby cry non stop when helper carry.

Anyone encounter this issue. My 5 mth LO cries when helper carry her. When we go and carry her she will stop crying. Anyway we can solve this issue. Thanks

May be due to unfamiliarity, LO needs to get used to the touch and smell of helper

My wife i giving birth in July, but confused which brand of pampers to buy.I have researched brand like pampers,huggies,Mamypoko but still unsure which is suitable. I scared that my newborn baby to have rashes...? *Ps: 1st time becoming father
