Postpartum insomnia

I've been having problems falling asleep, be it in the night or after the middle of night feed for my 8 wks baby. It's driving me crazy and makes me irritable easily. Any suggestions to help with the insomnia? I'm very tempted to consume small amount of cough syrup but I'm still bf-ing.

don’t take cough syrup!!!! try essential oil and balms like lavender

Food after 1 years old

Hi can I ask what food do u offer to ur baby after turning one? Normally I gave cereal,fruits and porridge. But grandparents asking if could eat outside food or their cooked food. But coz when they cook they add herbs n salt n soya sauce coz they cook for us adults,any suggestion? Thanks 😊

Yup they can eat outside food or home cooked food. Just either cook separately before adding salt/sauce or ask for less salt/sauce. My son likes to eat macaroni, chicken rice, potato related dishes, soups (mushroom, pumpkin, seaweed, etc)

Risk of jaundice

My son is high risk jaundice. He always need take blood test. i felt like horrible mother watching him in pain. He already went for photo therapy. All the doctors and nurses assured me is very common case. But is very tiring keep going to polyclinic for check up. Is there any way or tips to keep his jaundice down ?

Actually the only thing you can do is to Just keep giving him milk to drink every 3 hrs even if he’s sleeping. Other than that only phototherapy will work. Doctors say sunlight doesn’t help but I did expose both babies to morning sunlight (before 10am) for my own peace of mind. My mum used a Chinese herb called ‘inkirrab’ or smth (idk how to spell) and wrapped it in a small towel and put beside them as it is said to reduce jaundice. I also bought the special herbal bath for jaundice to bathe my baby. Doesn’t help significantly but at least we tried for our own peace of mind. For my first baby after he underwent 2 days of phototherapy his jaundice dropped. Then no need to get pricked anymore. For my second baby she also had jaundice but did not need phototherapy. However we had to keep going back to polyclinic every 2 days for the first week then she subsequently once or twice for the second-forth week until her lvl dropped below 100.

Food for 15 mths baby

Hi Mummies, may I know what types of food can i prepare for a 15 mths baby? I usually will prepare porridge, however, these few days he reject the porridge. Thank you.

yes.... baby will reject food.... they need more colors and different taste mummy.... I feed my son porridge once a meal can be lunch or dinner, but will make pumpkin, avocado, sweet potato, chicken or fish porridge... I feed him bfast as buttered broccoli, squash and zucchini.... sometimes bread with Milo kosong or Horlicks kosong... just need to experiment in food.... they will like it.... you can oso feed oats with berries, bananas or apples.... many more mummy.... step by step you create dishes and let baby try.... they will like food after that
