Sleep regression or normal

Hi mummies, how do i know if its a growth spurt or sleep regression or just normal. My baby used to sleep thru the night without waking for milk since 2.5months. Would sleep as early as 7+pm to 6/7am the next morning. Sometimes 7am+ also havent wake up we need to wake him up for ifc. But recently past few days, at 4.5months, he would always wake up once or twice in the middle of the night for milk. Like around 2/3/4am and then 5/6am. He still naps as per normal during the day average 3 naps.

At 4.5 months, what you are describing sounds very much like the classic 4-month sleep regression, which is one of the most well-known ones because babies go through a real developmental shift in their sleep cycles around this age. The good news is that since he was already sleeping through before, there is a good chance he will find his way back to that once this phase passes, though it can take a few weeks. It could also be a growth spurt layered on top, since both can happen around the same time and the extra night feeds are his way of keeping up with demand. I would just ride it out for now and see if things settle on their own before worrying too much, lah.

How long formula milk last once drink

Hi mummies i have question regards to formula milk. Once made, can leave 2 hours if untouched, 1 hr once drink bt never finish. Cs sometimes baby cry then when i make milk alr he suddenly sleep or etc. By 1 hr, if it exceed the 2hr time period ? Eg i make milk 1pm but baby only drank at 230pm, and didnt finish. Will the milk only last till 3pm or 330pm ? Is it max 2hrs after making the milk (3pm) or 1hr after start drink(330pm)?

Should be from when the milk is made so 3pm. If you make and baby starts drinking immediately then 1 hour from that time

When to stop giving pacifier, and does it make teeth crooked

Hi mummies i have few questions regards to pacifier. Please dont comment if you dont give your LO pacifier. 1. When did you stopped giving your baby LO pacifier? 2. When should i stop giving my LO pacifier if im worried itll affect his teeth, makes it crooked 3. Does pacifier really makes LO teeth crooked and will it go back to normal once stop pacifier ? 4. How to soothe or calm your LO when you stop giving pacifier ?

1) 18mo, she self weaned when I tried to upsize her pacifier. 2) Can’t advise. 3) My LO’s teeth looks fine to me (she’s 25mo). 4) When mine weaned off pacifier (hers was an immediate wean), she didn’t look for it anymore so I just kept all pacifiers out of her sight. Soothing wise, no issues when sleeping, but when she’s making a fuss like eg. Outdoors, offer toys/snacks, if LO can understand what you’re saying then talk to them.

How to feed baby panadol

Hi mummies, when your baby has fever, and need to give panadol, if its during feeding time, do you feed before or after feed ? I tried giving baby panadol after milk, but he rejected it not sure if because he’s already very full or if it tasted bitter. Baby is 4m old. So end up he either reject the panadol or only consume very little. I usually give using bottle teat so he would suck and it wont spill, but i tried syringe too bt he would spit it out

Bring 4.5months old go swimming pool

At which month did you bring your infant/baby out to kids pool? And what kind of float did you use? Thought of going to any open kids pool for my 4.5months old, using the neck float.

I think 4.5 months is too young for public pool. If it’s those indoor heated pools catered for babies like happy fish swim school, I think it’s alright. Public pools may not be clean and safe for babies health. Not too sure about condos.

Prepare solid when going out

Hi mummies, when baby has start solid at 6 months, if we’re out, how do i pack baby’s food or do i just give those packed purees/baby food available at stores ? Example if we have a homemade food like porridge, i need it to last till nught, can i just put in those food thermos ? Or itll go bad/sour after few hours? Im a ftm and im so confused about baby’s solid. And for 6 months, how often to feed baby solid? Like is it a must to feed during breakfast lunch and dinner ? Or its actually up to us when we want to feed ? Cause their main source is still milk.

Nipple Tinggling sendation

Hi mummies, i am 4 months PP and sometimes i get like a tingling sensation on my nipple not sure why. Not abnormality, changes, not breastfeeding etc. is this normal. I do remember getting it randomly prepregnancy also. Fyi not preggy.

Since you mentioned it also happened before pregnancy, it could just be something your body does, but because it is recurring and you are postpartum, it might be good to bring it up with your PD or a GP just to get it checked out and have peace of mind. Better to ask and confirm than to keep guessing la yaa

is yaolan (baby hammock) recommended? pls advise if u used it befr

my LO (1m-2m) wldnt sleep if not being carried. contemplating to use yaolan but the risk such as LO flip etc makes me hesitant. anyone used yaolan befr and highly recommended? or how did yall go abt making your LO sleep? appreciate all your help pls, getting v stressed cos have to carry LO and can't do anything...

Baby fighting naps

Hi mummies, my 5mo baby always fight naps. She shows tired cues but when we want to pat her on bed or carry her to pat her, she will cry murder or push away. It takes awhile to calm her down before she falls asleep. Is this normal? How can I help her to go to sleep happily, without struggle? I feel like I’m not doing things right and causing my baby to cry so much 😢

Well you can have white noise, lullaby or let her be all tired then put her to bed. Alternatively, milk/latching. That helps them sleep well. My #2 do fight naps esp when she sleepy. Ill give her milk then pat her then make her sleep afterwards.
