Is it necessary to clean the tongue and how to do that?

For me, yes it is since baby is too young to rise his own mouth after feeding/meal. Just as Hui Qun has mentioned, it's for hygiene purposes and to remove any sort of milk build up that might have accumulate on his tongue. I use Nuk Oral Wipes too, but I bought them in bulk during baby fairs. It's approx. $99 per carton and it lasted for a pretty long time since I only use these when I am outside with my son. Otherwise at home, just a gauze will do as Hui Qun had explained.

Should I take my baby to the doctor for teething pain?

It is not necessary to bring your child to the doctor for teething pains. My child is currently teething and she soothes her gums by biting down on her fingers (putting pressure to relieve pain). When that doesn't work, I give her chilled teethers. I do not intend to buy teething gel as it numbs the gums and it is not encouraged. http://sg.theasianparent.com/5-natural-teething-remedies/

How long do you normally have full time nanny to help you ?

I take care of my kids on my own. Most of my friends who engaged nanny services stip sending their baby to nanny when baby turns 18 months old, and send baby to full day childcare. This is the most common arrangement in Singapore.

How soon we can register our Lo for play group?

Ideally would be 18 months for playgroup. At least they know what is going on and try to socialize with each other. They will learn how to interact with other children and learn motor skills. They will also learn about independence. They can learn many things while at school. Good to start early.

Hi! My baby is now 3mths old..I'm beginning to read up on the options when it comes to introducing solids..what are the pros and cons in giving purees? Or should I opt for baby led weaning? How do I get started with either one? Thanks!

My friends who are working full-time found that it was easier to start with purees because they can prepare and freeze those wayyy in advance. What some of them have done is to mix-match the two. They start with purees on the weekdays and introduce soft solids like peaches, oranges etc for the weekends.
