Do you babies get gassy when their tummies have been exposed to aircon or electricfan?

There are many reasons for a baby to develop gas,the type of food the baby consumes,sucking on a empty bottle can also coz gas..i haven't heard of the above but its better to avoid exposure to aircon or electricfan if it does coz gas.

My 1 week old has been crying a lot and has diarrhea I think. A friend who came to visit today suggested it might be umbical hernia. What should I be looking for to check if this is the case?

My tot has been coughing since Fri. We have seen the doc and were prescribed a cough syrup. But it doesn't seem to help. What can I do?

i agree with Chin Yin. thats what I do for my 4 yr old. Actually,cough medicines are seldom effective.

My baby only likes to look left. No matter what we do or angle we shift her to, she only wants to look left. What do I do?

Your baby may have a tight muscle in her neck and you should speak to your doctor or to a physiotherapist for more information. In the meantime, you can use brightly coloured toys or mobiles to encourage your baby to look in the less-preferred direction. Also if your baby sleeps in a crib that is against the wall, put her at opposite ends of the crib each night. If your baby's crib is not against a wall, place a crib-safe toy to encourage her to look in a different direction each night.

I bf and my 6-mth-old drinks frm a bottle when i'm at work. Recently he has totally refused to dl at all when i'm home or on wkends. (he'd keep unlatching and whining) We co-sleep and he would only dl when i'm sleeping at night. What is wrong and wat can i do to get him to dl more? I'm afraid it'd escalate to him only taking the bottle

Do u bottle feed by urself? If yes then u should stop doing that. Nipple confusion can happen anytime

Im suspecting my first baby (17months old) to have Hand, Foot and Mouth Disease because of his symptoms. Im worried that my second baby (7weeks old) would also get infected since we are all co-sleeping. We are practicing strict hand hygiene, especially on this time. But how would I ensure that my infant will not be able to get the virus? TIA

My 6 week old baby has been sleeping the whole day , only wakes up for feeding. Should I wake her up in the day so that she can sleep at night?

At that stage, their body is rapidly developing and they need sleep and rest for that. As long as she is asking for feed regularly its okay.

If red rice suitable for 6 month baby? I use red rice and quinoa made into porridge then blend it with Philips steamer and blender. But the red rice can't be blended very fine. Is it a correct way to make rice puree?

Yeaup sounds like the right steps. You can try adding some breast milk before blending or pureeing the rice and quinoa mixture as well.

How many of you is addicted to buying diapers? I was told to stock up big sizes when there is promotion. My baby is 7 week old. But she already has 5 jumbo packets of size s and 6 jumbo packets of size m ready for her. I probably had overdone it.

hahaha.. not really alot .. When my baby is not born .. I already stock up 7 cartons of diapers
