Anyone able to advise me why my lo fidget alot when feeding? he is on bottle feed, and he move so much tat sometime its so difficult to feed him..

Hi mummies, what are some future milestones that we should look out for in a 10months old baby?

By 10 month baby should have Mastered skills - Grab things with pincer grip - Crawls well with belly of the ground - Wave goodbye Mediocre skill - indicate wants with gestures - Say mama and papa to the right parent Emerging skill - put objects into containers - stands alone for a few seconds If your baby was born prematurely, you'll probably find that he needs more time before he can do the same things as other babies his age. That's why most babies born prematurely are given two ages by their doctors: Chronological age, which is calculated from your baby's date of birth. Corrected age, which is calculated from your baby's due date. You should measure your premature baby's development against his corrected age, not his actual date of birth.

Can I save the breastmilk which baby cannot finish for milk bath? My MIL keeps thinking baby is hungry when he cries and feed him breastmilk but baby always just take a few sips and went back to sleep. This resulted in a lot of wasted breastmilk. :(

My baby always looks for me when she's with her mother. But when I carry her, she starts to cry and wants to go to her mother. What can I do to make her stay longer with me?

This is very normal as baby sees your wife for longer hours and has separation anxiety towards your wife. My husband also my kids' playmate only and they will still look for me when they suddenly 'remember' me. What you can do is, spend alone time with baby without your wife's presence. When I am around in the house, my kids will stick to me too but when I am not around they turn to daddy.

Just to share my struggles .. I'm a SAHM ever since my baby Is born . He is now 8 months old . I quitted my job to be a SAHM cos I have no other help . Mil and mom not in good health . However , I really struggle being a SAHM.. Don't get me wrong , I really enjoy the bonding time with my baby , witnessing his milestones .. But I struggle becos my husband often work till quite late n I'm alone with baby most of the time till he comes home. I bring baby with me to run errands like grocery shopping etc. but I can't bring baby with me if I need to go to the salon, go for my dental appointment etc.. Not so convenient .. I've been postponing my dental appointment etc cos weekends my husband though not working but he is not a hands on father , doesn't really wanna help me with baby . I have nobody else to approach . Feel so alone . Any SAHM with same situation as me?

Same here. I have 3 young kids. I had not went for any hair treatment/ rebonding session since I had my first child almost 4.5 yrs ago. I had toothache and wisdom teeth started growing since I was expecting 2nd child and they are now giving me problems but I can't go to the dentist as I have noone to look after my kids.

When can baby sees??

They can see pretty clearly by the time they are 12 months old but their visions will not be fully developed until they are 3 to 5 years old. By one month old, they can make eye contact and focus on objects about 12 inches away. By three to four months, they can differentiate between colours and focus on smaller objects. They can also focus on objects up to 3 feet away. If you move an object from side to side a few inches from their face, they will follow it with their eyes, a skill known as tracking.

Hi mummies & daddies, any recommendations for an infantcare or childcare in Tampines? :)

For preschool, I like Childfirst @ Tampines. Esp cause it focus on technology and chinese education. Compared to some of the other CC in Tampines, Childfirst facilities and kids to teacher ratio is better. The teachers and admin seemed quite friendly too. They are also pro-bfing too. I also like the fact that it's quite new, opened in August 2014. Most impt, less hfmd cases too. For nursery level, I like Soka kindergarten. It's a buddhist run kindy. The kindergarten emphasize on character-building thus they have many little projects where you need to spend time doing with your kids. Soka dont emphasize on academic - instead, they want the kids to have good habits.
