My 3-year-old daughter simply refuses to sit at one place and eat. Later she becomes hungry and irritable. Please help me with solutions..

have you tried making eating time fun and a family affair? I had this issue with my first born, and it was really difficult to make her sit and eat. we made sure that we all sit together as a family for our meals. i also started giving her food in a cute kiddie thali, with multiple slots for different types of food. i would put rice, roti, her favourite fruit, some salad, and other food items in the slots and let her eat on her own. initially, she still would get up and roam around, but slowly, she started sitting down for longer stretches and then for the entire meal.

Any good PD to recommend? LO has been down with flu and phlegmy cough for 1 week. We went to 3 Doctors and still not yet recover. TIA :(((((((

Just wondering....is it normal to feel warmer in temperature during pregnancy?Not having fever but body and tummy is warm. just concern if baby will b ok? can I say...as long as I'm not having fever myself,even if I feel slightly warmer...baby wun b affected?

Me to..feel so hot during day and night..sometimes feel very uncomfortable..hopefully the baby is ok and healthy inside

my girl is 3 weeks old. she's having flu and cough. went to pd and pd said it's normal for babies to have phlegm. and coz she's too small, there is no medication. but my qns is her appetite has went down and she always wanna sleep. every feeding only 20 to 40ml. and she will sleep for 5 to 6 hrs. shld I wake her up to feed her? or is sleeping a way of recuperating?

newborn babies drink relatively a very small amount of milk. I was very concerned when my newborn did not drink alot like what i expected and did some research. Their stomach capacity is very tiny so they have to drink more each time but however, some babies can sleep really well. They can sleep at longer time without milk. I was very worried at first when my boy slept more than 4 hours wo milk but my confinement lady told me not to worry as sleep is good. I just let my boy sleep through and he will not fuss much if sufficient sleep is given. It is more worried when ur baby has a cold at such young age and maybe thats y sleep is more comforting for her at the moment. It is true that there is no medication at the moment. I dont agree with your PD that it is normal to have phlegm for babies coz at birth, the nurses shld have sucked out the excess phlegm or liquid so they will not chock.

Hi any of you experience yr LO have sudden change of sleeping pattern at night? Tomorrow she will be 6months old. My LO suddenly have this sleeping issue. She will sudden cry in the middle of the night sometimes a few times within few hours. When she start crying i have to carry her n pat her back so sleep but after that for few mins/hrs she start again. She had no issue till it happen when she was 5month old. It been happening for weeks. And i am very tired. I really dont knw what to do. anyone can help me out?

That is very normal. It will keep changing. And we will need to keep readjusting accordingly. There are many factors, babies stimulation in the day, teething, colic, growth spurt. These are all the common stuffs lo may go through some time.

Hi mummies, my son is now 18 months old but due to upper back hypotonia he cannot sit till now, I am waiting for the Eipic classes to start! He is having speech delay also so till then what I can do? I am bringing him for tuina massage and swimming once a week! thanks :)

Hi mummy, I have nothing but praises and admiration for you. I feel your pain and exhaustion but on top of all your love for your boy. Some children speak later than others and it can be more of a concern only when they are about 3 to 4 yo. In the meantime, I think consciously teaching, listening to CDs, songs and exposing him to words will definitely help. You might want to explore some of the gym classes which can help children with upper back hypotonia. Also, do call the Eipic centre to check if there are any support groups and other resources.
