Does my lo poop looks ok? 6.5mo fully on fm juz recovered from fever & vomitting yesterday due to vaccination..only took milk & some water for past 3 days (stop solid food due to jab & illness).

Occasionally, green, mucous-like poop can be caused due to viruses that can include fever, diarrhea. This description looks like the poop in the picture you've attached. That being said, since your baby just recovered, I reckon the poop will stay that way till baby has fully regained health. Don't worry too much, keep baby hydrated and when baby is up to it, keep his strength up by giving him bland purees. Which thermos flask will be good for preparing bb milk formula? where can it be brought as well?

A couple of my friends are using the Tiger brand thermo flasks. Think it can keep the water hot/warm for up till 10 hours or so. Another friend recommended Zojirushi. She bought this brand and it is capable of keeping water hot/warm overnight. You should be able to find it at any departmental stores. My 4.5 mth old baby girl has pretty bad rashes on her face and neck. Anyone has any good dermatologist to recommend for babies?

Does it look imflammed? If yes then it's eczema. Recommend go Naaman skin clinic at Novena. Alot of mummy recommended it.. you can Google's their reviews. My LO went when she was 5 weeks old. By 10 days, ecezema all cleared.

My baby is 11 weeks old, fully latched on. Can I know why his stool is hard green ?

What's best remedy for lower back pains esp in pelvic area? Mine really awful for two days already :'(

Have you tried placing hot compress on it? It might relieve the pain. Also, try using massage rollers, it can help too.

Any parents brought their child for flu vaccination, is it really good for the baby? My lo is 8 mths old, not sure should I give him flu vaccination as he goes IFC since 4 mths old. Although he does not get flu before.

I'd rather be safe than sorry when it comes to babies and vaccinations. Best to give baby a fighting chance against the flu, even if he has not gotten one yet. I read that the influenza virus mutates constantly so you'll never know when a particular strain will hit your baby hard. Children who are 6 months to 8-years-old would require 2 doses of the vaccine. For first timers, the second dose needs to be given a month after the first one. Hello mummies. I recently sent my then 14 week old daughter to an ifc just before my maternity leave ended. She just learned how to flip when she was 18 weeks old. (For the record, I have also stopped swaddling her long time ago since she was abt 2.5months old). However the IFC teachers recently tell me that they have always been swaddling her so that she can sleep 'better'. In fact.. the better meant she can sleep as long as 2.5hr to 4.0hr during day time when she is at IFC. Back at home, her naps are always between 30mins to 1.5hr max, never exceeding 1.5hrs. Was wondering if any LOs out there also nap as long during daytime back at home or over at IFC? My worries: 1) I prepare 3 bottles of EBM for 3hrly feeding, but she always drinks at most 2 bottles during the 9hrs she spends there! So the IFC teachers always defend to say, sleep is good for baby's growth and development, so we don't wake her up. 2) Isn't it said that once baby starts to flip/roll over, they should no longer be swaddled? (I did make it known to them abt this milestone). 3) Is something not right that my baby sleeps unusually longer over at IFC? Or am I just over worrying? Please share your thoughtsnand experiences with me. Many thanks!

My baby in IFC drink 3 bottles of milk in about 9 hours. 150ml per feed. She is still swaddled at 6 months when sleeping. She howver max sleep 45 mins at 1 time.

How many here use cotton wool n water (not baby wipes) to clean newborn for the first mth?

I’ve came across this study which investigated the effect of using baby wipes as compared to using cotton wool and water in the first 4 weeks and the study found no difference on the hydration between the two methods. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3418152/ I would say my friends all used a mix of both. Wipes are convenient during nappy changes. Especially for my friends who are first-time parents.

Using bottle feed or cup feed for newborn baby? Which is more advisable? Ever since my newborn baby use bottle feed she will tend to vomit milk out of sudden. And yesterday she vomitted 3 times, there's one time which she vomitted almost all the milk out after drinking. Please advise.

Newborn better to go with syringe. Is baby breastfed or fm?
